A few minutes ago, walking down the hall: that oldies song about "Ride the painted pony, let the spinning wheel turn," whistled under my breath.
Just now: A brief snippet of "You Get What You Deserve" by Big Star, whistled until I realized I probably shouldn't whistle really loud at my desk.

"The Glamorous Life" -- because someone at work saw Prince the other week and said Sheila E. was there and sang it. Then 15 minutes later someone said, "Now I've got that song in my head," and everyone else said, "Me too."

six months pass...
Whistlers at work, URRRRGH. We have a habitual one here whose office is right near mine -- a bigwig, of course. And it's always just the CHORUS -- repeatedly. In December, it was the Waitresses' "Christmas Wrapping," today his year-round fave "If I Only Had a Brain."

Dr Morbius (Dr Morbius), Thursday, 10 February 2005 21:51 (twenty-one years ago)

"16 Horses" by Soul Coughing, now and forever, extra funny when you start doing the M Doughty hand thing in public and you don't realize it

I've had the tune to that Cream/Eric Clapton song "White Room" stuck in my head all day, except I didn't have any idea what it was called or who did it until this thread made me to look it up. I thought it would be someone cooler than Clapton.

Dan I. (Dan I.), Friday, 11 February 2005 04:26 (twenty-one years ago)

It doesn't matter, but I was whistling it.

Dan I. (Dan I.), Friday, 11 February 2005 04:26 (twenty-one years ago)

I have had "Fake Plastic Trees" in my head all day, but this is not so much a "whistling" song.

Bloke in the next room yesterday kept whistling All is Full of Love for about 2 hours. Man alive, I like Björk as much as the next girl, but I could have killed him by lunchtime.

t\'\'t (t\'\'t), Friday, 11 February 2005 16:11 (twenty-one years ago)

I keep finding myself singing "Baby, love really hurts without you and it's breaking my heart but what can I dooo-ooo-ooo, baby..." on a loop. I am slowly slipping into insanity.
