we were watching this the other night, and when ackroyd goes to the toilet to arrest the moralist guy, there is a balding guy with a moustache in (as an extra i think, we switched back to average joe then), but WHO IS HE? he is very recognisable!

haertcore (home is wh) (gareth), Thursday, 22 July 2004 15:25 (twenty-one years ago)

Sounds like Louie Del Grande to me.

Huck, Thursday, 22 July 2004 15:30 (twenty-one years ago)

haertcore l''' (gareth), Thursday, 22 July 2004 15:36 (twenty-one years ago)

tom selleck?

j e r e m y (x Jeremy), Thursday, 22 July 2004 15:37 (twenty-one years ago)

actually, a better way to approach this might be to ask "who are people who played bald but with hair at sides men, with big moustaches, that are kind of uncle-like"?

haertcore l''' (gareth), Thursday, 22 July 2004 15:38 (twenty-one years ago)

G. Gordon Liddy?

Huck, Thursday, 22 July 2004 15:39 (twenty-one years ago)

You must really fucking hate your uncles.

nabiscothingy, Thursday, 22 July 2004 15:40 (twenty-one years ago)

haha, no, but i am sure he has played uncles in tv shows before, sort of kindly, i dont know.

ambrose (ambrose), Thursday, 22 July 2004 15:58 (twenty-one years ago)

the neurotic awakening of s (blueski), Thursday, 22 July 2004 15:59 (twenty-one years ago)

haertcore l''' (gareth), Thursday, 22 July 2004 16:05 (twenty-one years ago)

"yeah, my name is Emil Muzz and I'm a PAGAN! HA AHA HAHA!"

oh, for the days when tom hanks just did comedies...

Kingfish von Bandersnatch (Kingfish), Thursday, 22 July 2004 16:16 (twenty-one years ago)

All along it was Fred Asparagus

Velveteen Bingo (Chris V), Thursday, 22 July 2004 16:56 (twenty-one years ago)

I've always felt quite sincerely that when Tom Hanks turned into a sap we lost one of our better comedians. If I meet him I'm going to say "hey Terminal Gump, just make Money Pit 2 and quit your blubbering".

Although more likely I'll just beg him for a job.

Gear! (Gear!), Thursday, 22 July 2004 17:10 (twenty-one years ago)

well, the ladykillers was a nice touch

cutty (mcutt), Thursday, 22 July 2004 17:11 (twenty-one years ago)

true, forgot about that one. But it was a Coen Bros flick. I'd like him to just once more make a crappy cheesy comedy with some anonymous hack director.

Gear! (Gear!), Thursday, 22 July 2004 17:13 (twenty-one years ago)

well, that won't happen. has anyone seen "the man with one red shoe" lately?

cutty (mcutt), Thursday, 22 July 2004 17:14 (twenty-one years ago)

or "Mazes & Monsters"?

Kingfish von Bandersnatch (Kingfish), Thursday, 22 July 2004 17:14 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm sure Peter Scolari is begging Hanks to do a Bosom Buddies film.

Gear! (Gear!), Thursday, 22 July 2004 17:17 (twenty-one years ago)

I was hoping the answer was Jon Polito.

jaymc, Thursday, 22 July 2004 17:27 (twenty-one years ago)

jon polito is in TERMINATOR!

cutty (mcutt), Thursday, 22 July 2004 17:28 (twenty-one years ago)

But looking at those credits, it's got to be Dabney Coleman, right?

jaymc, Thursday, 22 July 2004 17:29 (twenty-one years ago)

oops. HIGHLANDER.

cutty (mcutt), Thursday, 22 July 2004 17:29 (twenty-one years ago)

hahaha jaymc you beat me to it!!

s1ocki (slutsky), Thursday, 22 July 2004 17:31 (twenty-one years ago)

i'm a dick... a brother seamus.

cutty (mcutt), Thursday, 22 July 2004 17:35 (twenty-one years ago)

Crosetti!
Anybody see the "featurette" on the Homicide Season 3 DVD where the writers talk about how he left the show? Polito couldn't decide if he was coming back or not and so the first few shows of the season have Crosetti "on holiday" in Atlantic City and then one of the writers/producers says "So we got a call from Jon saying he wouldn't be back and our feelings were hurt so we were just like, 'screw you, you're dead!'"
or something like that. I laughed.

Huck, Thursday, 22 July 2004 17:37 (twenty-one years ago)

http://cineclub.de/images/meetjoeblack04.JPG

it was jeffrey tambor, from the larry sanders show!

''' (gareth), Thursday, 22 July 2004 21:00 (twenty-one years ago)

Funny, I was thinking about this movie yesterday after the Bohemian Grove thread. I know Ackroyd's a big occultist. Maybe he was ribbing the Bohos with the whole P.A.G.A.N. thing. (People Against Goodness And Normality).

sexyDancer, Thursday, 22 July 2004 21:09 (twenty-one years ago)

Anton Lavey?

latebloomer (latebloomer), Thursday, 22 July 2004 22:45 (twenty-one years ago)
