1. In the Tools menu, select Internet Options.

2. On the Content tab, under Content Advisor, click Enable.
If you've already enabled Content Advisor, click Settings, and then type the supervisor password.

3. Click the Approved Sites tab, type the Internet address (URL) of a Web site, and then choose whether you want others to always or never have access to this site. Repeat this process for each Web site that you want to set access for.

Don't forget to set the RSACi levels so that other sites you view aren't affected and to allow vieing of sites that don't have ratings.

ILX is too much of a distraction for me but I still probably wouldn't block my access to it. Maybe I will do for a couple of hours every day at work or something. The bigger problem for some might be that the place (the general content and mood lately) just really pisses them off so it's best they don't go to it.

i tried the map-ilx-to-localhost thing before the shutdown but firefox was doing its own caching of ip addresses or something similar and i could still see the pages...

Note: you may not be able to follow Dan's instructions if you're accessing the internet from a work PC which is part of a network.

e.g. you might find your 'Enable' and 'Settings' buttons are disabled.
