Are there any good internet resources with a concise history of the Fluxus movement? Not wikipedia...

Try Ubuweb or the Fluxus Portal. The former should be on everyone's bookmarks, seriously, it's the best avant-garde resource on the web.

Well familiar with Ubuweb, and I totally agree with your statement. You could quite easily spend a good portion of a lifetime there.

My alma mater Rutgers was instrumental in fluxus (woot). There was a pretty cool retrospective at the school's gallery the last year I was there. Our other claims to fame were James Gandolfini, Ally McBeal, Milton Friedman, some Star Trek dude and greasy-ass sandwiches.

Hannah Higgins (daughter of Dick Higgins and Alison Knowles) is a great art historian, teacher, and Fluxus scholar. Her book:

Screening:
* saccharin test for mucociliary clearance(1) o small amount of saccharin (1-2 mm) placed in inferior nasal turbinate 1 cm from anterior border o patient sits with head bent forward o test is completed when patient tastes saccharin o if test > 1 hour or patient unable to taste saccharin, mucociliary clearance is considered impaired o alternative test uses dye marker instead of saccharin
