I think she should be in a remake of Reform School Girls in which she would play the part of Charlie, a part previously played by Wendy O Williams. That would be hott.

Back when she was initially convicted, the CBC had an interview with a fellow who did 3 years in the 80's for fraud or summat, and has now set himself up as a consultant to 'white-collar criminals'. Martha would pay this guy a huge amount to tell her what the washroom privileges are like, what personal effects are allowed, how meals are served, etc. I though it was such a crazy idea... these people (Martha, Ken Lay, etc) have probably never thought about jail, and their lifestyles are about as different as possible from what they're about to enter. This guy gives them a heads up.

Who predicted this crash 4-6 years ago, when she was on top of the world? I remember when I was still working in the mall downtown, and had to staff the store alone while the manager and ass. manager popped out to catch a glimpse of Martha at the unveiling of her new product line at Eatons. They came back amazed at how beautiful she was in real life.. 'I mean, she looks beautiful on TV, but in person, she's just... beautiful.'

apparently subscriptions to her mag are way up, my mom says that the vibe among the MS-liking set is that if she'd been a man in the same position, the same thing wouldn't happen...that she's being used as an example because she's a rich and powerful and influential woman, this is like a lesson to women to step back.

which sounds like a conspiracy theory to me, although friends that work on wall street have said that people do this kind of thing all the time and it's just not a big deal.

hmmm.

is kmart still selling ms everyday towels and stuff?

A woman who claimed to have served time in the prison that Martha is likely to go to called in to a radio show earlier this year. The host wanted to talk mostly about this woman's "gay for the stay" experiences, so I don't remember what else she mentioned.

oh, just wait before hipsters adopt her, ironically wearing $30 "Free Martha!" pre-stressed tshirts purchased at the local Urban Outfitters...
