hard graft

i've just finished school and on wednesday i start at a roof trellice (sp.?) warehouse, working 8 til 4. i'm really nervous because i'm not very confident having to work in this kind of environment, also i'm kind of skinny and weak and i'm generally not sure i'm cut out for hard graft. have any ilxors had experience in shitty warehouse jobs like this, and if so tell me your reassuring stories about how easy it is.

look at it this way, people spend up to and somtimes in excess of a grand a year on gym memberships, you get payed to beef up. how good is that? this job is only a temp one right?

I used to work in a warehouse. My God, it was a nightmare!

i worked filling huge sacks with cushion fillings coming from a giant pipe in the roof. i packed shoes into boxes, and then the boxes into crates and then the crates onto shelves. i packed greetings cards. i packed vcrs. i listened to radio commercials for double glazing all day. i drew the line at chicken gutting though

i hated every minute of it all

I am weak and skinny and have had my fair share of jobs. Don't worry, it's against the law to make you lift really heavy things by yourself. And lukey is right, it'll do you good - you'll be a bullnecked thug by the end of it

You'll hate it but the muscles are great. I did book warehousing stuff when I was 17 and I've never been so buff since.
