Let's say money isn't part of the whole deal (would it change your mind?).
You've discovered that someone close to you is going to be the star of or at least involved in a reality tv show. As a result of this you could easily find yourself being a big part of the programme aswell (maybe you live with them, maybe you'd be part of a number of the set-up scenes, visits to them etc., interviews on camera).
Alternatively it could be a set up like "My new best friend"
where you don't know you're being filmed and you're duped somewhat...not humiliated though, and the producers contact you
and offer you a few hundred quid/dollars to air the footage.
Or any candid camera show. Anyway the question is
Do you
1) Play the game and agree to be part of it, after all it's no big deal, you're not insecure about your personality or looks, you don't mind who sees you, it could even help you, or
2) Refuse to be part of it in any way like the third Osbournes sibling, you don't like this pressure and exposure, you have contempt for tv and its motives/the whole fame game, you can't see any way in which it would benefit you or others?

I'd become a hopelessly maudlin drunk, weeping, gnashing my teeth, and wandering into traffic. I would become dramatically and hopelessly incontinent. I go around smacking clerks and cashiers for insolence. I'd wink at the camera alot.

I'd invite the Melvins over and supply as much beer as they can stand.

I seriously considered leaving my small child for a couple of months to be on Survivor. Not that I'd been picked to be on it. I downloaded the application and bought a video camera on ebay to make my audition tape. I decided I was crazy. But if Survivor is still on in a few years, when my small child could miss me for a few weeks, I might apply. I'd be the older chubby lady.

Survivor is gorn. Replaced by "I'm a celebrity, could you turn the air conditioning up a little and by the way, where are those pizzas?"
