ilxor.com -- this community and the surrounding bulletin boards -- neat!

I CAN'T AVOID IT
I am new here, and I'm pleasantly intrigued by the organizational pattern of this community. I Love Everything and I Love Music seem to be the major urban twins raised by separate sides of the family, and therefore act differently, and satisfy different obsessions, yet seem to be raised by the same pack -- while the other boards seem like treehouses, recreational rooms, churches, or sinister plot cellars, or combinations thereof, or whatever sort of escapist inventions you can concoct, that make up the outskirts of the Major Twin Commmunities that are aforementioned.

I discovered the full ilxor.com because I was googling for links for the purpose of arguing against some rather ignorant acquaintances on that Iraq War topic that I sense everyone here is likely sick to death discussing. I discovered a similar link posted by gabned, or a similar name, and eventually rerouted my way back to the original article I was searching for. So, my belated thanks to the Gabned, and a good hello to all here.

I hope creating an "Hello, world" thread doesn't go beyond the bounds of decency here.

HERE IS THE DOCUMENT YOU REQUESTED, SIGNED...
I sincerely hope no one is offended by my choice of alias. I was once called a "bum likking fargit" by someone -- probably from the UK or near-abouts guessing from the use of the word "bum", although it could be someone who has a fetish for orally servicing transients for all I know -- who I "argued" with in a seemingly, shall we say, less behaved and moderated forum. I was endeared and destroyed by the phrase -- in the sense that my laughter almost literally killed me. I literally fell back on my chair near some rather unstrategically placed sharp objects on the carpet nearby.

While "likking" brings to mind what I'd imagine a later eighties musician in the arena of glamorous popular metal rock music would have spelled "licking", I separate the two halves of the word with a dash so that it seems to have just slightly more innocent origin from, say, China or Taiwan.

"fargit" is self explanatory, and possibly the most controversial. Obviously, it was a mutated version of the word "faggot", which is the only decipherable word that I can induce from the actual word used. I use it now only as a way to remind myself that people who use words to deride others for reasons over which the targets have no control are just as easy targets of derision, and are actually deserving of it, moreover.

I can change that last word however, if its use upsets those here.

HYPOCRISY IS MINE
While I won't deny that I have a very specific style while posting, I'm curious as to why Mr. Cutty is taking parts of my post and putting quotes around them. I won't assume he means any harm, but this is exactly a reminder of why I left my previous forum, given the cowardly snarkiness and lack of confrontation this type of posting behavior exemplifies.

THEN AGAIN
"doing this" may have a completely different context here than my previous forum. I'm obviously missing some legacy over here.

Further apologies for the high frequency of messages in the past few minutes. :(
