- photos (the mainstream media makes it so easy)
- photo manipulations/fanart (although hardly necessary, since the mainstream media makes it so easy)
- fic (tell us about how John and John's love for the American common man is only equalled by their love for each other!)
- actual insightful political commentary (...I mean, if you're into that sort of thing.)
but they seem to have the right idea about it:
Actually, this is not really the place for insightful political commentary (although such a thing isn't frowned on if it happens!), it's a place for giggling.

Would it be trollish or welcome to go to that forum and write slash that presents Cheney as Dubya's big bad leather daddy with a special secret White House dungeon?

LIVE GERBILS
Sadly, this is probably the most useful purpose for the dreaded LiveJournal site today. I really enjoyed its humble beginnings, and I hate people who state "things were better in the early days" just as much as most of you probably do. However, the rather grade-school level drama that erupts from people who think that the action of having a LiveJournal somehow makes them more "open" is something my stomach can no longer take. Worse yet, certain people near the origin of LiveJournal have taken this odd stance that anyone who starts and LiveJournal and deletes one is a "quitter" and not worth their time or friendship.
This is perhaps a sympton of the region I live in, rather than the site itself. I live in a city I enjoy, yet its worst social attribute is that potential friends often are glazed with this extremely warm, polite, and gentle indifference that covers a rather caustic cake of insularity and lack of passion for anything other than to follow and be followed.
In any case, the thought of slash fiction between Bush and Cheney is far more exciting and, dare I say, titillating to me, purely for the comical permutations more than anything.
