it's impossible for me to not move while sleeping

my man and i have just started to sleep together and i find it impossible to not disturb his sleep. i'm the queen of restlessness when i'm sleeping/trying to get to sleep. the other night, after 3 hours of trying to get to sleep, i just excused myself, surfed on the internet for 2 hours, and then returned dead tired and fell into a sleep coma. poor guy, he barely got any sleep due to my restless movements.

so i'm off to the doctor today with the hopes of securing a place at the stanford/usf clinic here in sf.

has anybody here been observed while asleep at a sleep clinic before?

Tilda Swinton to thread. Seriously - it's be way cool if she started posting here.

well, of course it would be.

and nah, harnesses are not advisable. they don't help and don't stop the compulsion to move.

lower your caffeine intake. esp. after 12noon. try and keep lights turned down an hour or so before you bed.

Anytime someone is sleeping in the bed with me, I feel like I have no room at all and have to remain stock still the entire time. It's pretty uncomfortable!

I *do* have a double bed! Queen-size, actually. Any larger size and it couldn't fit in the bedroom!

i dream of a king bed

mookieproof (mookieproof), Wednesday, 4 August 2004 17:04 (twenty-one years ago)

fuck yes. a king bed would be ideal. i once had a boyfriend with a king sized bed and there was never a problem. i was free to toss and turn.

now, this man and i are crazy about each other and have been beginning to get serious, so i want sleepovers to continue. this condition of mine could seriously impede our closeness.

fuck, the next time i go over i'll lug my chamomile tea bags spiked with valerian root and my lavender filled sleep mask.

i think i've got periodic limb movement disorder. i've been reading about it online.

Become addicted to muscle relaxants. Screw up life. Overcome adversity and turn life around. Write book. Sell rights for Lifetime movie. Use money to buy genormous bed. Problem solved.
