How do you feel after a fight?

I've just had a most vicious row with my brother. All shouting, nothing physical. But in the middle of it, my head started to shake, I got shooting pains up the back of my neck into my head, I developed gripping pains in my upper abdomen and I now wonder, was it worth it?

I said lots of stuff he needed to hear and things I'd been keeping under wraps for a long time. I'm not so sure if it was worth the shittiness I feel now.

Perhaps suppression is better if the after effects are like this? Maybe I'll feel better tomorrow, I dunno.

Fights, yuck.

I usually feel pretty lousy after a verbal row, unless it's someone who really needs to hear it. But most times I feel like it's an overreaction stemming from me or the other person not dealing with things in a better manner further back in time.

Completely true, but not always possible.

I'm surprised I'm the first to link this Great ILE Moment.

Verbal: I get anxious - nervous feeling in my stomach, twisty-like. Overwhelmed / genuinely shocked that the other person(s) doesn't see it my way. Usually requires post-argument medication.

Physical: Way easier. But usually feel crappy after that too.

Avoid fights when you can. And always let the ladyfriend win.
