It's August 2004, so NOW what do you look like?

So, old thread, now new thread. Because I have a few shots from a series of formal family photos to share from the end of June -- me, my folks and my younger sister Kara. WARNING -- they're all pretty damned huge.

The Raggett Corporate Board welcomes you

"Oh, just ANOTHER day on the golf course."

You mean this isn't an art installation?

"And I'm related to them, can you STAND it?"

I have nothing to say about this photo.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Saturday, 7 August 2004 01:41 (twenty-one years ago)

I have nothing to say about this photo.

I do.

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Saturday, 7 August 2004 01:46 (twenty-one years ago)

Now my secret identity is exposed! With great power comes great responsibility and all that.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Saturday, 7 August 2004 01:50 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm a little weirded out that you have parents, Ned.

Homosexual II (Homosexual II), Saturday, 7 August 2004 02:16 (twenty-one years ago)

?!?!

*wonders if Mandee thought I was born of an egg or the seafoam*

Ned Raggett (Ned), Saturday, 7 August 2004 02:20 (twenty-one years ago)

I imagine that there were lots of nurses, novocaine, and tentacles involved.

I'm glad the reference was teased out properly.

Harold Media (kenan), Saturday, 7 August 2004 02:49 (twenty-one years ago)

You all know what my goofy ass looks like, but I feel some sense of duty whenever these threads come up.

NOW STOP CALLING ME GAY ALREADY! (kenan), Saturday, 7 August 2004 03:07 (twenty-one years ago)

Harold, I never knew that your goofy ass was so white and flat and lacked an ass-crack.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Saturday, 7 August 2004 03:07 (twenty-one years ago)

Ned, the I.T. guy here at the office just exclaimed that your sister's a "mega-watti hottie!"

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Saturday, 7 August 2004 03:14 (twenty-one years ago)

Well, she'll like that. :-) And of course, she is indeed. She and her young man Tyler have been a couple for about three years now, though, so IT guy will have to appreciate from afar.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Saturday, 7 August 2004 03:17 (twenty-one years ago)

Actually, now that I think about it, in the 'nothing to say' photo you can see her rockin' tattoo on her right wrist -- it's a spindle of thread, while there's a stitching pattern and a needle that runs around the entirety of her wrist. She is a knitting fiend (usually doing so while downing beers at the local bar).

Ned Raggett (Ned), Saturday, 7 August 2004 03:19 (twenty-one years ago)

That's a combination that wouldn't have occurred to me.

Harold Media (kenan), Saturday, 7 August 2004 03:24 (twenty-one years ago)

My family is totally not the goofy picture-posing type. I'm a bit jealous.

Barry Bruner (Barry Bruner), Saturday, 7 August 2004 03:24 (twenty-one years ago)

Harold, I never knew that your goofy ass was so white and flat and lacked an ass-crack.

Don't tempt me to post a picture of my ass, Ned. Remember -- gin makes a man mean.

Harold Media (kenan), Saturday, 7 August 2004 03:46 (twenty-one years ago)

My family is totally not the goofy picture-posing type. I'm a bit jealous.

Hey, you're missing out!

Remember -- gin makes a man mean.

Damned drunk!

Ned's photos look like a clean living religious - but in showbiz- family a la the Osmonds

Bob Six (bobbysix), Saturday, 7 August 2004 08:41 (twenty-one years ago)

I'll post some photos from my trip snowboarding today as soon as I get them from my friend.

Completely and utterly not OTM except for the clean living part.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Saturday, 7 August 2004 13:15 (twenty-one years ago)

your sister (well your whole family really) looks like a giant monkeybarrel of fun.

teeny (teeny), Saturday, 7 August 2004 13:39 (twenty-one years ago)

My sister could start a party in an empty room -- this is very much a compliment. Donut Bitch and El Diablo have met her and can confirm.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Saturday, 7 August 2004 13:44 (twenty-one years ago)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Sunday, 8 August 2004 12:00 (twenty-one years ago)

That's an amazing picture, man!

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Sunday, 8 August 2004 12:09 (twenty-one years ago)

I am deeply jealous of, amongst many others, Jel, Stevem, RJG, 96, Jerry the Nipper, Roxy and Mandee for always looking unfailingly brilliant in photos.

This is a recent, and rather unflattering one of me:

Does it say ELWD on your knuckles Andrew??

Trayce (trayce), Monday, 9 August 2004 01:21 (twenty-one years ago)

Andrew and WUV! And beer! And snow!

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 9 August 2004 01:30 (twenty-one years ago)

It says 'ELWO' on that hand, and 'OD' on the other. It was a dress up party. I wasn't wearing my hat and glasses.

Andrew (enneff), Monday, 9 August 2004 01:34 (twenty-one years ago)

You're better than the Blues Brothers, man. You're Buckaroo Banzai or something (and same initials too!).

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 9 August 2004 01:38 (twenty-one years ago)

Synchronicity: my friend gave me a copy of Buckaroo Banzai for my birthday just a week ago. I've only watched the first few minutes but I don't know how closely I can identify with that guy. ;-)

Andrew (enneff), Monday, 9 August 2004 01:42 (twenty-one years ago)

You've got the music and computer thing down, just be a surgeon and fight aliens and you're gold.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 9 August 2004 01:44 (twenty-one years ago)

Hrmm, you make a compelling case.

Andrew (enneff), Monday, 9 August 2004 01:47 (twenty-one years ago)

I don't see the shame in that. The lion is one of god's noblest creations. And a lion that makes mashups...well, that's like an ILXer's dream, surely.

adam. (nordicskilla), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 19:32 (twenty-one years ago)

No, it's OK to look like a lion. I was just saying.

Alba (Alba), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 19:33 (twenty-one years ago)

I suppose I shouldn't have said 'but'.

Alba (Alba), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 19:33 (twenty-one years ago)

"It's OK to look like a lion"

--Alba, 2003

adam. (nordicskilla), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 19:35 (twenty-one years ago)

2004!

adam. (nordicskilla), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 19:35 (twenty-one years ago)

Let's start calling him Simba!

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 19:36 (twenty-one years ago)

"Simbam"

nabisco (nabisco), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 19:42 (twenty-one years ago)

'Stevem's Pride'

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 19:43 (twenty-one years ago)

I probably said it last year, too.

Alba (Alba), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 19:44 (twenty-one years ago)

It's one of those sayings you just live your life by. A fitting epitaph, perhaps?

adam. (nordicskilla), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 19:45 (twenty-one years ago)

"Here lies stevem. He looked like a lion, and everyone was okay with that"

adam. (nordicskilla), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 19:46 (twenty-one years ago)

Wait, wtf, is Stevem DEAD!?! Did we kill him with our criticisms of his BEST OF THE OUGHTIES POLL?

nickalicious (nickalicious), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 19:47 (twenty-one years ago)

(fwiw I know he's not really dead)

nickalicious (nickalicious), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 19:48 (twenty-one years ago)

Sorry stevem this is getting a little morbid

adam. (nordicskilla), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 19:48 (twenty-one years ago)

How could you possibly know that, nickalicious?

Alba (Alba), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 19:49 (twenty-one years ago)

that's one of the englishest things i've ever seen.

g--ff (gcannon), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 19:51 (twenty-one years ago)

Hahahahahaha!

adam. (nordicskilla), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 19:52 (twenty-one years ago)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 20:57 (twenty-one years ago)

Aldo, I find your shoes intriguing.

Maria D. (Maria D.), Tuesday, 31 August 2004 21:02 (twenty-one years ago)

They're Nike Air Rifts, in grey and yellow. The split toe is really comfortable and I love them as walking shoes. Plus, being some kind of stretchy mesh thing, you can chuck them in the washing machine if they start to smell (though a handful of extra pairs of tabi socks beyond the ones you get with it do wonders too).

Has no one else seen those adverts for AOL with the English bloke who goes on holiday in Mexico? Jeez! Where would I get a screenshot of that? Cause he is a DEAD RINGER for Dog Latin. It's quite freaky, really. Don't make me go looking on the AOL site or something...

hello everyone... i've been a lurker for a while now, but i gotta come out of the closet for this one. the guy in this ad is a friend of mine, ben. he's a welsh rapper and in a band called arkane... i can't get the top bit to go in italics like everyone else does. i don't really understand computers....

trixielixie, Sunday, 5 September 2004 23:49 (twenty-one years ago)

this.. is.. weird. i still haven't seen the advert. hi trixie!

dog latin (dog latin), Monday, 6 September 2004 00:05 (twenty years ago)

hello! do you prefer to be called dog or mr latin? maybe just dog latin, nice name...

trixielixie, Monday, 6 September 2004 00:09 (twenty years ago)

i go by many names, most of which are Twat.

dog latin (dog latin), Monday, 6 September 2004 00:11 (twenty years ago)

oh and by the way, judging by the photos posted here, you don't really look like ben... which wouldn't be a bad thing anyway, coz he's cute as a button!! which isn't to say that you're not...
