... Leather Jacket, White T-Shirt and Red Scarf. I get beautiful people in my bar but damn. anyways, this is Aaron reporting full of self-doubt and alcohol. I have like 5 friends on this board left and I expect them all to post here. i am wondering what i did wrong with my life. i didnt do my homework in high school but surely one must do more than that to put oneself in such a miserable place. is $1000 for a 400 sq ft apartment really justified in DC?

Dupont Circle? You're getting off easily there. And Adams Morgan isn't far behind these days.

In the meantime, I do remember you fondly, even if you haven't been around here recently.

You have a white leather jacket? I think that's what you did wrong with your life. Stick to black leather.

She lived in a boathouse down by the river,
every one called her pretty Belinda,
Went to the boathouse down by the river,
just for a look at pretty Belinda.

All of my loving wanted to give her,
soon as I saw her pretty Belinda.

Lived in a boathouse down by the river,
wanted to have her pretty Belinda.

Her eyes are exciting, her hair it looks golden,
her lips were inviting, and my heart she's stolen
Now we're together, me and Belinda.
Now and forever, me and Belinda.

She lived on a boathouse down by the river,
every one called her pretty Belinda.
Went to the boathouse down by the river,
just for a look at pretty Belinda.
She lives in a boathouse down by the river,
every one called her pretty Belinda.

Went to the boathouse down by the river,
just for a look at pretty Belinda.
Now I have wed her, my pretty Belinda,
and that's where I send her, my pretty Belinda.

She gave her heart and made me a promise,
we'll never part, for Belinda is honest.
We live in a boathouse down by the river,
every one calls her pretty Belinda.
We live in a boathouse down by the river,
me and my wife called pretty Belinda.

somehow these threads i start at 5:30 am while drunk seem much funnier then. this is rather ill-advised innit. um. nice weather we're having. julia where in DC should i look? i think the problem with DC is that there are no arts communities. these places become so expensive so quickly because its just 30-something yuppies stealing from 20-something yuppies who are probably about to move back to wherever they came from in the first place. starbucks as signs of life not death!

How expensive is Mount Pleasant these days? That or Columbia Heights are probably your best bets, and would place you near the 42 buses, which would take you right down Connecticut Ave. to the E$L.

the price quoted above is the same for what i have seen in logan circle and adams morgan.

Aaron Grossman (aajjgg), Monday, 9 August 2004 00:24 (twenty-one years ago)

You should enroll at Georgetown and move into a frathouse, it's probably less obnoxious than Adams Morgan. And cheaper by sounds of it.

Move to Wheaton! It's awesome there.

adam (adam), Monday, 9 August 2004 12:49 (twenty-one years ago)

Looking around I think the main problem is your timing. Housing is filling up all over the place and especially in any kind of yupster neighborhood where the college kids and the interns like to live. Like Dupont Circle and/or anything else within walking distance of a red line station. It's only a one-year lease. Once you get it over with and move in and don't have to pay the cabfare home from work all the time things will seem a lot easier. Agonizing over it is only driving up your booze bills.
