Sometimes A Great Notion convinvced me of a 1000 things at 14 and everytime i reread it (5 Times) it has spilt my brain apart. For this alone he deserves a proper send off

anyone read Sometimes Great Notion? I just saw the Paul Newman film adap, which tho (from what I've read) is massively streamlined has many echoes of Steinbeck, esp East of Eden. (albeit PN handles the first half mostly like a comic picaresque)
