How easily do you become aroused by on-screen sex?

Of the film or television variety? DVD or VHS or whatever, it can be nasty or it can be beautiful, but how easily does it turn you on?

I ask because four people have just booked a room to watch Sex & Lucia together, and I would only contemplate watching that film alone or with my g/f because it gives me the horn something ferocious. I can't imagine watching it with somebody else. I seem to remember watching a porno at a party with a load of mates when we were 16 or so, but we were so stoned it probably didn't do much.

I'm afraid I don't get very aroused by this at all. Especially in the company of others. i still get that horrible embarassed feeling like I did when I'd be watching a film with my parents and there's a love scene. I don't know if this makes me dodgier than someone who can happily watch a porno with friends. If this does happen I either shrink away into my seat and say nothing or I start treating it as if I'm watching a comedy. One thing is I don't really get turned on by it.

'sex & lucia' = totally impossible to follow + not even to my taste. but it's a good question. 'not as easily i used to' is the answer. on-screen sex itself is often, but getting turned on is still a big part of the film-watching experience in other ways.

Maybe it's because I can't quite grasp the illusion that it's still acting. The act of sex onscreen just doesn't seem very genuine to me and so I feel I may as well be watching people playing sport. This is why the pr0n that I do watch is usually quite basic and rarely actually involves a whole lot of sex.

It doesn't bother me that televisual or filmic representations of sex aren't real, in fact, if anything, I think it helps, as it were. I actually honestly can't think of an instance where love scenes have aroused me at all, but I haven't seen any porn videos so my view on this whole onscreen sex debate is possibly slightly unbalanced. I just generally find love scenes in films kind of uncomfortable and usually unnecessary, though obviously there are exceptions and films where it is wholly necessary.

The little on-screen porn i've watched they either cut out the undressing bits and go straight for the bangbangbangbang. One minute they're fully dressed, next they're at it like rabbits. If they do show the undressing it's generally done in a really sloppy uninterested way. Not that I'm too mad on watching hours of foreplay or scene setting, but then I find the sudden jump from chat-to-rut rather disorientating and queasy.

I find it pretty easy to desexualize any given scene, if necessary; it's sort of a concious thing for me, if I'm watching a movie w/ other ppl I just don't allow teh arousal to happen, think of other things than the movie if needs must. Likewise, if I'm watching something alone and actually *interested* in getting aroused basically anything with reasonably attractive gurls in it will do the trick, I just haf to let my imagination do the rest of the work.
