("I am Superman" was supposed to convey hands on hips in an heroic pose - I wasn't happy with the phrasing, but couldn't think of a better one at the time.)

"really gets on my tits"

― kelsey (kelstarry), Thursday, 12 August 2004 18:28 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm afraid "Make sure you follow through on that free throw." has me baffled as well. WTF would that be?

Also who the hells Fred Sanford?

― Trayce (trayce), Thursday, 12 August 2004 23:26 (twenty-two years ago)

Fred Sanford was the lead character played by noted groundbreaking comedian Redd Foxx in a popular u.s. sitcom in the 70's called Sanford and Son. He owned a junkyard with his son (Lamont?), and when things got tight, he would start hollering about how he was coming to join his late wife (Elizabeth) in heaven, feigning a heart attack (the big one) by grabbing his chest and staggering around.

A free throw is a shot in basketball.
