Channel 4 showed 'The Devil's Own' last night - Brave or Stupid ?

'We never had a choice' ?

The film is stupid, therefore for showing a stupid film Channel Four is either brave (risking ratings and a degree of Sunday Night Movie credibility) or stupid (ditto).

The Devils Own is a monstrously idiotic film. What is it w/Brad Pitt and playing Irishmen?

I could invoke nationalistic stereotyping and suggest that he feels he can empathise with a country renowned for being full of thick people. But I wouldn't do that because it would be a very, very wrong thing to do.

At least he isn't Tommy Lee Jones. I was watching the original Buffy for the first time: at least it deals with the issues.

Ah, had you not seen the original Buffy before, Mark? Now that's a Pee-Wee Herman cameo.

Oh, it's such a dud though. Paul Reubens is one of the only good things about it. And Brendan of course.

Krusty Swanson is annoying, as well as Luke Perry looking more like a Rogaine advert than anything close to a high school student.
