sort of related: how is Dennis Miller still on the air?

I love the McEnroe show. I've only seen it once, but he's awesome. If he's allowed to continue, I think he'll be really good after a couple of years.

I saw the show last week because Yo La Tengo was on (& they ripped it up, of course..) Mac was a bit awkward like Chevy Chase was, but his attitude indicated to me that his show would be great after he gets comfortable doing it.. But I haven't remembered to watch it again since last week...

He has a contract. He's already gone at its end.

McEnroe is ok but he fumbles sometimes with the Q&A. The 'sidekick' guy is a waste of space. He's just not funny. I'm a huge fan of Mac's tennis commentary and I think he's a likable dude. I hope he gets better/catches on.

He's on the lowest level of cable-hell, so it's not like there's a lot of pressure on him. Except that he's probably getting paid a lot, since he's famous. But otherwise, who cares if nobody's watching a show on a channel that nobody watches? Let the man stay.

Hopefully McEnroe will learn from Dennis's mistake.. "Don't be a fucking kissass to your guests." Also, don't be an idiot.

I still can't believe he managed to get a 0.0 - that's hella impressive. I bet even re-runs of Facts of Life and the Jeffersons get like 0.3 or something.

man I had a JOB where I sat around and watched episodes of The Jeffersons and the Facts of Life all day. I tell you what, the Jeffersons is slightly better than you remember and The Facts of Life is faaaaar worse.
