What's your favourite season? Although the weather is a bit rubbish today, I still have to say autumn.

mark s, Monday, 12 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Ew. Summer, summer, summer...

Ned Raggett, Monday, 12 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Spring. The weather's lovely (after a while), people are happy, new life is being created (in my loins too - new urges) and summer* is only a moment's anticipation away...

*which I don't like. I only like looking forward to it.

Autumn in New England has a magic flavor to it that will always stay with me. The weather is always "nice" in San Francisco, but I miss Autumn back home.

Summer, the hotter the better, preferably not too humid though.

chris, Monday, 12 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Autumn. Running through crunchy leaves.

Jonnie, Monday, 12 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

don't you mean through crunchy bin bags Jonnie?

chris, Monday, 12 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Autumn. I like it when air smells cold.

Sterling Clover, Monday, 12 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I prefer Sloppy Guiseppies.

repeating the SAD thread ansa - autumn but when it's crisp, clear and bright. not dreary. ugh.

katie, Monday, 12 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Autumn and then Winter.

james, Monday, 12 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Depends on where I'm living. I'm with Sean on Autumn in New England. The foliage, baby! And NYC. But out here in Los Angeles, I think I prefer a really crisp SoCal day, temperature in the mid-50s (brrrrrr) with a clear view of the snowcapped San Gabriels.

Arthur, Monday, 12 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

That's Winter in LA, duh.

Arthur, Monday, 12 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Cool fresh and sunny sweater weather makes me feel good to be alive. And the leaves, my god the leaves are stunning.

Can't say I have a favorite season. There are times during all seasons which I both love and hate... though the love and the hate are more polarized (pun fully intended) during the winter and summers. I'd have to say winter edges out summer so far here in Seattle. Then again, ask me in February if I feel the same way.

Brian MacDonald, Monday, 12 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Winter has the best fashion. Summer has the best fruit. Spring has the most prettiness and greenity. Autumn has the lure of Jumping in Leaf Piles.

But Winter is my special favourite. I feel the most alive in Winter.

rainy, Monday, 12 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I love the autumn. Even if it does mean dratted winter will soon arrive.

turner, Monday, 12 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

"Summer makes me drowsy, autumn makes me sing, winters pretty lousy, but I hate spring."

I'm with Dorothy Parker on that one.
