drag the link to your browser toolbar and you will never lose it.

the following searches ILE and ILM via Google, which i prefer:
IL* Search

(it won't work properly the very first time though)

Google hasn't indexed as many IL* pages as freefind, and seems to be generally slower at adding newer threads too. Why do you prefer it?

That link Kim put to Sterling's page isn't that great, as atomz set a limit on the number of pages it would index for free.

The freefind ILM search (which I prefer) can be found at Alex's blogspot. Page down a little way and it's on the left.

God, I'm boring.

Nick, Tuesday, 13 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I just go to google and put in "ILM Search"...and then use whatever search thing that comes up.

google orders better, and highlights the phrase so you can see the context. it also appears to give better results with phrases. i don't need the recent stuff so much because that's all on the uncategorized pages anyway.

i think i will work out the code for that freefind search as a browser button, and try that.

alex - did you see the code i posted to get the freefind results to appear in a new window?

m jemmeson, Tuesday, 13 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

You don't need flash code, just add target="_blank" ot the FORM tag.

d'oh! i R a fule. been a long time since i used to do all that.

m jemmeson, Tuesday, 13 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

but i remember i had to use all that before for some reason... i think it was to process the search results first or something. god, i am slowing becoming STUPID

I was just trying to be helpful Nick, you big pedantic meanie! ;P

(yes that's right, I'm winking AND sticking my tongue out - it's highly attractive let me tell you)

Kim, Tuesday, 13 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I don't think I've ever seen anyone do that since my friend left mental hospital. Yes, I do find it very very attractive!

five years pass...
Is there a thread where we ask for help finding threads? I couldn't find one... Anyway, can anyone point me to a thread where we discuss music which is good to study/work to?

Ha, that's google for you - I rather presumed this was an ILM thread from the title! Should have read the first post.
