I posted this one on the sheepfuxor thread but can't hurt to post again. The orig of this is a lot bigger, I got a bit compression-happy so it looks odd.

I'm tempted to record a full-on goth record just so I can ask Alex if I can use those first cathedral pics as album cover material.

― nickalicious (nickalicious), Thursday, 26 August 2004 13:46 (twenty-two years ago)

It's yours for the taking my friend, but only it's not a cathedral. It's the Jefferson Library in the heart of Greenwhich Village (right on 6th Avenue).

― Alex in NYC (vassifer), Thursday, 26 August 2004 16:33 (twenty-two years ago)

...but it used to serve as a woman's prison too, which makes it kinda gothy.

― Alex in NYC (vassifer), Thursday, 26 August 2004 16:34 (twenty-two years ago)

I know it wasn't Big Ben, but it still reminded me of the end of Army of Darkness.

The first Alexpic looks almost Disneyfied in its prettiness, and the second looks more like a slightly less blurry Clientele single than a goth record. I don't know who does albums about women's prisons, maybe NOFX or something.

thanks trayce. i love that pic! i got some tops snaps that night. once uni is finished i want to do some photography courses so i understand how it works rather than pressing random functions and hoping for the best.

― gem (trisk), Sunday, 17 September 2006 03:56 (twenty years ago)

Yeah I feel bad that I've done some brief courses myself in days past, and I have a digital SLR - and I'm just not using it to its fullest. Waste of money really. My own fault, I really need to get back into things.

― Trayce (trayce), Sunday, 17 September 2006 04:01 (twenty years ago)

oh i would love an slr! i just have a little canon ixus, which suits me fine i guess, as it's so small i take it everywhere and i'm not scared of it getting tossed about in my bag. but i've gotten so addicted to taking photos it seems mental that i don't really understand the functions on it do. once i know about that stuff and can buy a new computer next year i'd like to upgrade.
