I was a make-up artist on many popular BBC sit-coms and drama series in the 70s, moonlighting as The Guardian's political correspondent in my spare time. Head injuries sustained playing international rugby union for New Zealand reduced my mental capacity sufficiently to accept the guitarist's job in Voice of the Beehive, while making tedious New Age waffle in studio down-time, mystifyingly released on the Narada label. Now I'm all better, I've moved to Chile to work as a professional photographer.
