i saw the columbo board game at a yard sale last weekend! the weird thing was that his face wasn't visible anywhere on it--all the illustrations were from the back, i guess peter falk wouldn't let them use his likeness!

falk was ahead of the game!

Wasn't Anthony Zerbe guilty of murder at least once per season?

"Those are lovely roses, Mrs. Reynolds... You know my wife has a quite a green thumb herself. Now, you say your heard the car door slam at eleven pm, is that right Mrs Reynolds? But you left the banquet at 10:45?"

I love Columbo's folksy smalltalk when he's absolutely sure he's got the perp. Very cat & mouse.

andy, Wednesday, 1 September 2004 17:54 (twenty years ago)

So is Columbo based directly on the investigator in Les Diaboliques, or what?

Dan I. (Dan I.), Wednesday, 1 September 2004 18:34 (twenty years ago)

He's actually based on Poirot.

Huck, Wednesday, 1 September 2004 18:35 (twenty years ago)

Robert Culp was the murderer in every episode of Columbo ever.
