Migraines & Jet planes

i just got back to rhode island last night from a 5 day journey to las vegas. as we made our final approach to providence, i popped my ears by yawning but found that a persistent pressure was building in my left eye. soon i felt a similar pressure and searing pain radiating along the side of my head and down into my jaw. it was like a huge toothache that started behind my occular cavity?

tell me, people, is this what a migraine feels like? i think it might have been, but i have to ask, if just for sake of comparison...

that's not been my experience with migraines. when i get them, it's an all over pressure focused in the forehead, coupled with extreme nausea and exhaustion to the point that it's difficult to move.

It could be a sinus problem actually. I had a very similar thing when my sinuses were blocked/inflamed and I flew. The inside cheekbone area of my face felt as if pressure, like a bike pump, was blowing it up from inside.

I had a black eye when I got off the plane!

yes, it does sound much more like a sinus issue than a migraine.

*nods* Sinuses can give you massive teeth/tooth root/jaw aches.
