One was possibly the most important playwrite of the Twentieth Century. One travelled through time and was mates with a holographic Dean Stockwell.

But who was the hardest?

they shoulda done a quantum leap where he leaps into samuel beckett's body and spends the episode living in a boarding house and not talking to anyone

Nah, 'twould of violated the whole "can jump anywhere in time within my lifetime, provided I stay within America so that our viewers don't feel alienated" rule of geo-temporal fictional travel in spacetime.

that's true about him never leaving america, isn't it? i would imagine that had less to do with alienating americans and more to do with budget

I think he got shipwrecked off an island once, near Greece supposedly.

Yeah, but still....you go to a place with palm trees and pretend you're in Africa. Or head to the desert and pretend you're in the Middle East. And so on...

I think he got shipwrecked off an island once, near Greece supposedly.

True, but that's one episode out of, what, a hundred or so?

Girolamo Savonarola, Sunday, 5 September 2004 08:27 (twenty years ago)

still, i maintain it should've been dennis hopper instead of scott bakula (it'd be a blue velvet reunion)

i saw one on the weekend where we got to see a bit of THE FUTURE (i.e. 1997) cars make a sort of whining sound and the whores wear outfits covered in sparkly little lights. that's about it.
