because i drink so many caffeinated drinks throughout the course of a day, i often wake up in the wee hours of the morning to, um, tinkle.

i figure, what the hell - what's some sleep, if i gotta go, i gotta go. at first I wasn't so keen on the idea of tinkling at that time of the morning - especially in certain areas - but I LIKE IT NOW and i'm NOT giving up my tea and my coffee. anyone else have this happen?

something seemed strangely familiar about this thread, until i remembered: My Morning Tingle

but yeah, i am really annoyed by this early morning tinkle trend i've experienced in the past few years. it always happens about a half-hour before i'm due to get up, which, um... pisses me off. why can't is just wait? i do go right back to sleep, but then then alarm goes off a short time later and i'm not happy about it. even if i go right before going to bed, it doesn't help. i even tried avoiding fluids for at least 3 hours before going to sleep and that doesn't help either. damn.

I drink so much water during the day that I always have to do this. I do have a tendency of just lying there even though I need to go & hanging on & hanging on, til my tummy hurts to touch. stoopid i know!

if you start waking up frequently to pee throughout the night it can be a prelude to prostate problems. assuming you're a guy in yr 20s or early 30s, this is unlikely but the unfortunate truth is caffeine consumption can really catch up with you over time.
if this persists or gets worse, talk to a doctor.
