Out of sympathy for Dog Latin's situation, how does anyone here deal with / rationalise / ignore the bad feelings that come with this stuff? I had a court date that loomed for months, then the case was dismissed 2 days before the hearing...I worried myself sick for 3 months, over nothing.
So I'm not actually good at dealing with this at all. Anyone else have any tactics?

yeah, a pot thing (smoking outside a club), which would normally be no big deal, but since I'm in the process of becoming a US permanent resident, it would've fucked everything up immigration (therefore job, marriage etc) wise.

Three years ago:
I crashed my sister's car on a Tuesday. The next day I found out it was totalled, with $6000 worth of damage. She was due back from the beach on Saturday, I had to wait the entire week to tell her.
