as i was walking home from Potempkyn last night I happened upon a Ben and Jerry's stand. I proceded to purchase a single scoup of oameal cookie chunk. Ten minuits of pure extacy then ensued, never had the decision to explore a new flavour yealded such encouraging results!

I don't like any ice cream actually. It's too sweet and it makes my teeth hurt.

gem (trisk), Monday, 13 September 2004 08:38 (twenty-one years ago)

piscesboy, Monday, 13 September 2004 10:15 (twenty-one years ago)

there are some threads on this topic in the archives, but wtf, it's summer.

i'm really liking the flavor melon right now -- melon gelato, melon ices, melon ice cream. It's just a little under-sweet, but the cumulative effect is perfect. i don't even like melon that much as a fruit but as an ice cream flavor it's brilliant.

GARU G, Monday, 13 September 2004 10:29 (twenty-one years ago)

but wtf, it's summer

It's not here :( You can tell summer's ended when the autumnal winds make going anywhere NEAR a horse chestnut tree potentially lethal.

Hazlenut. Yumski.

Madchen (Madchen), Monday, 13 September 2004 10:36 (twenty-one years ago)

i just had a gooseberry smoothie. it wasn't ice cream, but it did proclaim itself 'that autumnal flavour after which you've been yearning' and it was delicious.

Jay G (jaybob79), Monday, 13 September 2004 10:37 (twenty-one years ago)

Mint choc chip, except when it's too sweet or too toothpastey. When it's right it is truly wonderful.

hobart paving (hobart paving), Monday, 13 September 2004 13:00 (twenty-one years ago)

The chocolate flavoured one, but only if it's in a neopolitan box.

Ste (Fuzzy), Monday, 13 September 2004 13:02 (twenty-one years ago)

I really like the baileys haargen dazs(sp), but tbh, I am happy with chocolate.

PinXor (Pinkpanther), Monday, 13 September 2004 13:06 (twenty-one years ago)

Mint Chocolate Chip. Or else Ben and Jerrys Caramel Chew Chew.

I'm not mad keen on chocolate ice cream. I prefer other flavoured ice cream with chocolate in it.

Danger Whore (kate), Monday, 13 September 2004 13:07 (twenty-one years ago)

Super dark & bitter dark chocolate with super dark & bitter dark chocolate chunks in it. Man, I wish I could find that somewhere.

dave225 (Dave225), Monday, 13 September 2004 13:14 (twenty-one years ago)

Ice cream flavors are like beers or pork products, there's a handful that I find highly reliable and keep going back to over and over, but there's simply no way to call one the best, that's ridiculous.

TOMBOT, Monday, 13 September 2004 13:14 (twenty-one years ago)

I do love a good stracciatella.

Markelby (Mark C), Monday, 13 September 2004 14:18 (twenty-one years ago)

latebloomer otm. I have to say though, the cinemon cookie chunk is thematically similar to cookie dough, though in terms of emotional/spiritual content much more rewarding.

lukey (Lukey G), Monday, 13 September 2004 14:18 (twenty-one years ago)

Ben & Jerry's had one called Festivus for a limited time. I don't remember much about it other than it was really, really good. It doesn't exist anymore.

Allyzay Science Explosion (allyzay), Monday, 13 September 2004 14:20 (twenty-one years ago)

i've been really into soy ice cream lately & the best i've found is cinnamon caramel made by the double rainbow company.

kelsey (kelstarry), Monday, 13 September 2004 14:21 (twenty-one years ago)
