colette (a2lette), Tuesday, 14 September 2004 13:30 (twenty-one years ago)

Around Christmas time.

marianna lcl, Tuesday, 14 September 2004 13:30 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh crap, Build Me Up. I hate that song even more since There's Something About Mary and a million rubbish karaoke performances. Still, Survivor (WORD!) rules, and White Flag might be fun for mocking asthmatic hamster voices.

Liz :x (Liz :x), Tuesday, 14 September 2004 13:31 (twenty-one years ago)

* Bob Marley - No Woman No Cry
* Cyndi Lauper - Girls Just Wanna Have Fun

colette (a2lette), Tuesday, 14 September 2004 13:38 (twenty-one years ago)

It'll be easy to identify who goes next, too, as the expanded EyeToy compatibility will use pictures of each player to identify them when it comes to their turn

ken c (ken c), Tuesday, 14 September 2004 13:44 (twenty-one years ago)

aldo_cowpat (aldo_cowpat), Tuesday, 14 September 2004 14:05 (twenty-one years ago)

YEAR 3000 MOTHERFUCKER

still not buying a PS2 for this tho.

Jaunty Alan (Alan), Tuesday, 14 September 2004 14:12 (twenty-one years ago)

i think they need much better songs to win me over to singstar-land. although that probably won't stop me playing this whilst drunk at ken c's place...

i wonder how many bonus points you get if you do 'every breath you take' and get "oh can't you seeeeeeeeeeeeeeee" right on-pitch...

Rob Bolton (Rob Bolton), Tuesday, 14 September 2004 14:26 (twenty-one years ago)

you'd probably get a few "phrasing bonus"!!

ken c (ken c), Tuesday, 14 September 2004 14:31 (twenty-one years ago)

I can see little scope for the devastating 'golden note' bonuses a la 'Take On Me' from Singstar I, apart from Destiny's Child. Maybe bleedin' Bedingfield.

Liz :x (Liz :x), Tuesday, 14 September 2004 14:41 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh my god, I am going to rip that Maroon 5 song a new asshole.

roxymuzak (roxymuzak), Tuesday, 14 September 2004 14:44 (twenty-one years ago)

Ooh, yoou're just liiike a PILL, 'stead of making me BEDDah! you're mAking me Ill..

Liz :x (Liz :x), Tuesday, 14 September 2004 14:46 (twenty-one years ago)

I hope Ken has this on pre-order.

Liz :x (Liz :x), Tuesday, 14 September 2004 14:47 (twenty-one years ago)

We've gotta get a bootleg or something.

roxymuzak (roxymuzak), Tuesday, 14 September 2004 14:49 (twenty-one years ago)

jesus christ, karaoke for sad gits who can't get their retarded arses down to a pub so they can humiliate themselves in the proper public fashion.

Porkpie (porkpie), Tuesday, 14 September 2004 15:01 (twenty-one years ago)

ALL ROUND TO CAMP OUT AT KENS.

Starry (hello chickens), Tuesday, 14 September 2004 15:02 (twenty-one years ago)

porky dude, in our parties we perform for every passenger travelling on the N29.

ken c (ken c), Tuesday, 14 September 2004 15:03 (twenty-one years ago)

and you still have your limbs intact?

Porkpie (porkpie), Tuesday, 14 September 2004 15:04 (twenty-one years ago)

Taaayyke meee yaaaaaaout!

Starry (hello chickens), Tuesday, 14 September 2004 15:04 (twenty-one years ago)

our limbs will remain intact until they invent a weapon to remove limbs from people in houses from a bus.

ken c (ken c), Tuesday, 14 September 2004 15:05 (twenty-one years ago)

YOU ARE NOT A STUDENT ANY MORE!

Porkpie (porkpie), Tuesday, 14 September 2004 15:06 (twenty-one years ago)

Sounds like Porkpie's got a nasty case of the Barrys.

More Singstar at Ken's is U&K. And Scalextric.

robster (robster), Tuesday, 14 September 2004 15:07 (twenty-one years ago)

I am the wacky/zany/bubbly fynder general, and will not rest until they are all wiped out

Porkpie (porkpie), Tuesday, 14 September 2004 15:08 (twenty-one years ago)

once i have earned enough money for a house with an in built bowling alley, my construction of porky pie's hell shall be complete ;)

ken c (ken c), Tuesday, 14 September 2004 15:09 (twenty-one years ago)

true enough

I shall be standing outside with placards reading:

"enough of this kind of zaniness"

Porkpie (porkpie), Tuesday, 14 September 2004 15:11 (twenty-one years ago)

I was looking forward to Chris's appearance on this thread.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Tuesday, 14 September 2004 15:12 (twenty-one years ago)

three years pass...

Upt0eleven, Wednesday, 26 September 2007 09:41 (eighteen years ago)

I'm an 8,000 man.

Mark G, Wednesday, 26 September 2007 10:00 (eighteen years ago)

wossat mean? a measure of your success?

Upt0eleven, Wednesday, 26 September 2007 10:18 (eighteen years ago)

LOVE THIS GAME, although haven't had a drunken Singstar-till-4am party in a few months now, much to the neighbours' delight I'm sure. Got kinda bored of all the old discs and not too impressed by the new ones.

ledge, Wednesday, 26 September 2007 11:02 (eighteen years ago)

There's something really RONG about doing 'Where The Wild Roses Grow' with your daughter.

(also, ATP)

aldo, Wednesday, 26 September 2007 11:06 (eighteen years ago)

there was a new one i saw that had a really good listing!

ken c, Wednesday, 26 September 2007 11:08 (eighteen years ago)

I'm currently employed archiving, alphabetizing and excel-ing all the tracks from all the cds that have ever contributed to any of the versions of this game.

I can now say "The Best Of" in fifteen different languages.

Upt0eleven, Wednesday, 26 September 2007 11:10 (eighteen years ago)

there was a new one i saw that had a really good listing!

hmmm

not this one: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SingStar_Pop_Hits

first time i saw this thought it looked great, have since changed my mind: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SingStar_90s

ok this would do for a METAL SINGSTAR party: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SingStar_Amped

this would lose its appeal v quickly i reckon: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SingStar_Rock_Ballads

wtf?! : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SingStar_Die_Toten_Hosen

this one would probably be... tricky... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SingStar_Bollywood

ledge, Wednesday, 26 September 2007 11:19 (eighteen years ago)

One of my favouritest things ever on the internets is aldo and onimo singing (I think) Respect by Erasure in the style of Arab Strap at ATP. Is that still around somewhere, I have no idea how to go about looking for it.

ailsa, Wednesday, 26 September 2007 11:22 (eighteen years ago)

Bit of a crossover between Amped and Rock Ballads there.

aldo, Wednesday, 26 September 2007 11:24 (eighteen years ago)

xpost yo: http://youtube.com/watch?v=qkb38fgXUB0

ledge, Wednesday, 26 September 2007 11:45 (eighteen years ago)

Just cataloguing the tracks of Take That's Greatest Hits (because presumably there's a Singstar with a TT track or two on it) and it occurred to me that they could quite easily release a whole bunch of singstars based on individual groups/artists and make a fortune. TT, for example. Any others?

Upt0eleven, Thursday, 27 September 2007 09:41 (eighteen years ago)

I love Singstar - I can pwn on Dexys and DIE ON MY ARSE to everything else unless I use the secret cheatin' method - but that's CHEATIN' and that's no rock'n'roll fun huh?

That Die Toten Hosen thing MUST be a hoax!

Sarah, Thursday, 27 September 2007 09:43 (eighteen years ago)

Last time I played this boys beat girls at Blu Cantrell's "Hit Em Up Style", "Video Killed The Radio Store" and "I Got You Babe". no pride in that victory.

Ronan, Thursday, 27 September 2007 09:46 (eighteen years ago)

http://www.amazon.de/Sony-SingStar-Die-Toten-Hosen/dp/B000STRY16

nope.

Upt0eleven, Thursday, 27 September 2007 09:46 (eighteen years ago)

Mein Gott! I look forward to the DAF version.

Sarah, Thursday, 27 September 2007 09:51 (eighteen years ago)

Tom, wtf - rock ballads are THE best thing about all forms of karaoke!

Mark C, Thursday, 27 September 2007 09:56 (eighteen years ago)

xpost I'M THERE!!!

"Keebabbb traumerrrrr in der noyerrrr stAT!"

Mark G, Thursday, 27 September 2007 10:47 (eighteen years ago)

rock ballads are THE best thing about all forms of karaoke!

"I Wanna Know What Love Is" is up in my top five, that's true. And Toto would be pretty fun. Two Roxette songs though?!

O ok I'll get it!

ledge, Thursday, 27 September 2007 11:07 (eighteen years ago)

OK, my real favourite thing about Onimo and Aldo is (I think) Mr Monkey going "Jayzus" at the end of it.

I cannot sing AT ALL and dread anyone using SingStar to prove this by science.

ailsa, Thursday, 27 September 2007 11:19 (eighteen years ago)

Mrs O refused to sing at ATP :(

I pointed out that worrying that you couldn't sing should not be a hindrance in making a drunken arse of yourself (I mean look at me FFS!) but she wasn't having it.

onimo, Thursday, 27 September 2007 11:24 (eighteen years ago)

Singstar Amped looks grebt!

Sarah, Thursday, 27 September 2007 12:21 (eighteen years ago)

US only wtf

onimo, Thursday, 27 September 2007 12:25 (eighteen years ago)

I wanna get pished at ATP and sing Cheap Trick songs!

(oh wait, I already did...)

onimo, Thursday, 27 September 2007 12:25 (eighteen years ago)

Oh man US only, that sucks.

Whoever chooses these tracklistings isn't half obsessed with Roxette eh?

Sarah, Thursday, 27 September 2007 12:29 (eighteen years ago)
