I think I've told this story before but what the hell. Back in the bad old days of Williamsburg, waaay back in like 1996, there was a shop on South 1st called "Mel's Candy Store" with tinted glass in the front and a buzzer on the door, and you could buy dime bags there. One night I went down there with my friend Bobby and the place was shuttered and we were like "fuuuuck." A guy across the street called out to us and we went over. He was dressed head to toe in camo military gear, a beret and everything. We were like "got any weed?" He was like "nah, nah. I got guns though."
