Virginia Andrews has done a few. I thought David Eddings was at it, until his death turned out to have been exaggerated. And I’m sure that the Hardy Boys outlived their author by some decades. But are they ever more than marketing?

New Asterix books are still credited to both Goscinny and Uderzo on the cover, and somehow that feels right.

Sorry to sound like IL* victim supreme, but I believe the last Molesworth booked was published posthumously...(sorry)...

the third "titus" novel by mervyn peake came out posthumously, and IIRC some brit new-wave sci-fi-er wrote 1 missing page. From sublime-> ridiculous tho' surely thee most famous example of this is l r0n hubb4rd's 10-parter that that st00pid -looking john tr4\/0lta film was based on (note attempts to stop sc!3|\|+0l0g!s+s googling I suggest U all follow this)

That's actually the Mission Earth series. Battlefield Earth was one self-contained lump of lard.

Smart move with the Googleshield. Until the $(1ent010g15ts crack the technoology. But Molesworth and Titus weren't written posthumously, only published that way...

There are tons and tons of Dr Seuss books that have come out recently. Haven't read any of them though.

Extraordinarily aged though the creator of Billy Bunter, Charles Hamilton (aka Frank Richards) was by the time of his death, he had stockpiled enough that the last Bunter book was published four years after his demise.

I thought the Virginia Andrews post. books were even BETTER! Note that she's 'V.C. Andrews' post. though, not Virginia Andrews.
