so i decided not to shave at all until thanksgiving, when i knew i'd have to see my wife's entire family. but then her dad's birthday is this weekend and it up and surprised me and they're having a big party. i've got a sorta mountain beard (as much as i can grow), but i really don't want to shave. the family is pretty conservative, filipino, catholic

*stamps feet like little child*

DO I HAVE TO!?

I have to wear a shirt because of my tattoo. Damn it.

n/a (Nick A.), Friday, 17 September 2004 18:49 (twenty-one years ago)

you'd rather hang out shirtless?

JaXoN (JasonD), Friday, 17 September 2004 18:49 (twenty-one years ago)

no. you have to clean up your house when they visit; you don't have to clean up your beard.

You know it.

Just trim yr beard a little so it looks neat. Or put some butterfly barettes in it.

I am ordered to wax my dreads.

please explain for the non-dreads in the house

Sculpt it into a facecock.

Dan Perry '08 (Dan Perry), Friday, 17 September 2004 18:54 (twenty-one years ago)

nick is OTM with the trim idea. no need to get rid of it. trimmed beards are a conservative style, aren't they?

kelsey (kelstarry), Friday, 17 September 2004 18:55 (twenty-one years ago)

Well, wait, you married her and not her parents, I assume. So if she doesn't mind, then why are you fretting? Keep the beard.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 17 September 2004 18:57 (twenty-one years ago)

Put baby bird heads in it.

Dan Perry '08 (Dan Perry), Friday, 17 September 2004 18:58 (twenty-one years ago)

If you shave your own face where will their influence (blackmail) ever end? You don't want to find out years from now that your grandmother-in-law is now insisting that you get a Prince Albert and shave your goolies, do you? Put your foot down, man!

I don't know, I don't want to clean the apartment when my parents come over, but really, it's the polite thing to do. So I think getting the beard neat and trim is the polite thing to do.

I think there's more to cleaning up than just shaving.

Shave it down to a Hitler moustache and a soul patch.

Dan Perry '08 (Dan Perry), Friday, 17 September 2004 19:05 (twenty-one years ago)

i am so voting for you in '08

JaXoN (JasonD), Friday, 17 September 2004 19:06 (twenty-one years ago)
