About an hour ago a couple of police cars pulled up to the house behind ours...and then I noticed the crime scene tape. Turns out there was a shooting there last night just after 11:30. I was out in my office and heard the bangs, and assumed it was some kids setting off some firecrackers. Our dog was on her leash in the back yard and freaked out, so I went out and unhooked her and walked with her to the alley. My eyes hadn't adjusted to the dark, so I was pretty much blind and navigating by sound. I walked to the sidewalk and looked up and down the street, didn't see anything, and went into the house (LEAVING MY OFFICE STANDING WIDE OPEN) to ask my wife and daughter if they'd heard the firecrackers going off. They hadn't heard anything so I went back to the office and read some more ILx and fiddled with slsk for another half hour, then went to bed.

I wonder if they guy who got shot was lying in the yard in the dark?

Hahahahaha... hahahahahahaha!!! I think I'm going to go lie down or throw up now.
