Kerry Poses as Prositute

On Thursday, John Kerry walked into a high class Hotel and went straight for the bar, where he pretended he was a prostitute. First, he chatted me up and said he was "Bobby-Joe" from Tennessee, in town for business. After slipping me a roofie, he suggested we go to my place. Dressed seductively, in typical whore-gear (miniskirt, etc.) he slipped a few knick-knacks into his purse. He was acting all nice, saying he wanted to make sure I got home okay, but in truth he only wanted to burglarize my home. His dirty invitation waits, and if you elect him he will rob you, too. I am so ashamed, I felt I had to warn you.

"May have landed him in trouble with..." uh, who exactly?

An "aid" confirmed it.

"After only 3 months in the wreck
You have 3 purple hearts about your neck
And not one record to confirm
That you were actually infirm
You have no moral authority to give someone else heck."

"moral authority" should not appear in a limmerick.

I'm still mystified by the number of people who manage to get through life without every quite grasping that poetry has METER

It's not like it's even hard:

After only three months in the wreck
You have three Purple Hearts round your neck
But no papers confirm
You were really infirm
Who are you, giving anyone heck?

nabisco, Friday, 20 July 2007 22:57 (eighteen years ago)

nabisco, yr. last line should be "you've no right to give anyone heck". the syllables come out the same but it scans better.
