Ally C (Ally C), Tuesday, 5 October 2004 11:27 (twenty-one years ago)

Thank you all.

so how old di you think I was?

Ed (dali), Tuesday, 5 October 2004 11:37 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh, I don't know. Fifty six?

Ally C (Ally C), Tuesday, 5 October 2004 11:48 (twenty-one years ago)

OK, maybe 30.

Ally C (Ally C), Tuesday, 5 October 2004 11:48 (twenty-one years ago)

When I first met you I thought you were early 30s.

toby (tsg20), Tuesday, 5 October 2004 12:08 (twenty-one years ago)

ouch. i cannot say i thought of Ed as that old, or that young. if i was meeting him for the first time and had to guess i'd naturally assume he was around my age (which is what i tend to do when i meet people unless it's really noticeable they're older/younger), which he is, fortuitously enough.

Brigadier Rainham Steele, Mrs (blueski), Tuesday, 5 October 2004 12:12 (twenty-one years ago)

He just seemed a lot more mature than me...

toby (tsg20), Tuesday, 5 October 2004 12:17 (twenty-one years ago)

nice save ;)

Brigadier Rainham Steele, Mrs (blueski), Tuesday, 5 October 2004 12:19 (twenty-one years ago)

All that growing up in da inner city adds YEARS to one's life.

suzy (suzy), Tuesday, 5 October 2004 12:21 (twenty-one years ago)

Happy Birthday Ed, you are wise beyond your years.

Leon Czolgosz (Nicole), Tuesday, 5 October 2004 12:28 (twenty-one years ago)

I assumed Ed was exactly the same age as me, but then I usually make that assumption about people. A little surprised to find he's younger than me, mind.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Tuesday, 5 October 2004 12:33 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh, hang on, he is exactly the same age as me. For some reason I thought this thread said 'Ed is 24'

Matt DC (Matt DC), Tuesday, 5 October 2004 12:34 (twenty-one years ago)

happy birthday Ed!

Michael White (Hereward), Tuesday, 5 October 2004 15:43 (twenty-one years ago)

http://www.imomus.com/edboiler.jpeg

Read it left to right and it's Ed putting on a boiler suit. But read it right to left and it's a striptease. ROWR!

Momus (Momus), Tuesday, 5 October 2004 16:05 (twenty-one years ago)

(I know the blurred hand in the last picture makes it look like Ed is opening his fly. But read it from the bottom up and it looks like he's zipping it shut. The choice is yours.)

Momus (Momus), Tuesday, 5 October 2004 16:19 (twenty-one years ago)

Pervert.

what katie didn't do, Wednesday, 6 October 2004 09:24 (twenty-one years ago)

Gah,that didn't make sense, did it? Ach well, never mind, happy but belated anyway.

what katie didn't do, Wednesday, 6 October 2004 09:24 (twenty-one years ago)

I packed Ed off to work an hour late (pre-approved by nice boss) with a quite impressive hangover. And here I was thinking the stomach got fully lined at dinner, which was at St John and was completely sybaritic.

suzy (suzy), Wednesday, 6 October 2004 09:40 (twenty-one years ago)

Is that good or bad?

Alba (Alba), Wednesday, 6 October 2004 09:42 (twenty-one years ago)

Fantastic. They do this thing called a feasting menu where the food is served 'family-style' in great big cornucopia piles. However the wine consumption was a bit 'explosion at recycling centre' so the massive food things could well have been dwarfed.

The chef and his wife are art-opening pals of mine but if they were there they were not out of the kitchen all night.
