A Question About Brown Shoes

Today I saw some brown shoes which I thought looked quite good, but I didn't buy them because I have no articles of clothing which are brown.

My question follows:

Is it okay to wear brown shoes with say navy, black, grey trousers/jackets? Or is it kinda the same deal as socks and sandals, and white trainers.

Brown with navy is DEFINITELY okay, as far as I know.

Brown shoes are permissible but it depends. Also make sure you have a matching belt, do not go about with brown shoes and a black belt, please. We would need to see the shoes, I think.

Brown with some shades of gray is a little iffy. I wouldn't, personally. Then again I think gray trousers look crap to start with.

Chances are that if you have to ask, it doesn't look good. So yeah, BROWN SHOES, BROWN BELT.

I think grey + brown is risky, but it usually works well, especially for people with hair & eyes a similar shade of brown to the brown of the shoes & etc. But grey pants are almost always shit.

Brown shoes go with medium to light blue jeans and tan and khaki pants (I'm wearing brown shoes now with tan cords).

Brown shoes + Brown belt goes with khaki, tan, brown, navy and grey. Don't wear with black.

i recently bought some brown shoes and i think that gray plus brown is very iffy, especially if you have black shoes! brown shoes plus black pants seems like a bad idea.

I usually keep one pair of each: brown and black. I usually wear the black ones with black or grey pants and the brown with everything else. But I just like brown.

Moving beyond clothes, I've recently seen a new Acura TL which is dark metallic gray on the outside and pretty light tan on the inside. It actually works pretty well.

its all about the charcoal grey. that plus brown shoes is super bad

The 'classic' rule is just make sure your shoes are darker than your trousers. But then trainers break that. But then I rarely wear trainers. Your decision!
