The most tortuous thing that isn't actually torture is being held captive by someone who talks your ear off when you have someplace (anyplace) else to be ....

I love it when nothing, nothing will keep you awake in these things.

i had a long and boring meeting today which was a Social Committee meeting! So it at least had the potential to be interesting; it just...wasn't.

ohmigod. duddest of dud. im of the opinion that most meetings are useless. and a meeting that goes over 1 hour is definitely useless. people want to leave, they want to stretch, they want to check their email and messageboards...ok, *I* want to do all those things, but im sure others get just as restless.

there should be a law...

you have to drink alot of coffee at these things. mostly because it affords you opportunities to get the hell out of there because you have to go to the bathroom.

GET THEE BEHIND !T0 UN!VERS!TY!!

The fact that I (lowly skeptical co-op intern) can show more decorum & restraint that an executive vocally voicing & expressing her displeasure (cf. SIIIIIIIIIIIIGH; sprawling herself across her piece of conference table like a bored 10 year old) is scary shit. The fact that I was able to feign interest for nearly 4 HOURS is on a whole different level.
