some friends bet me i would get an audition if i entered that 'onthepull' compitition and i did. I bet £20.

should i

a) go to the stupid audition

b) pretend i didnt get it and keep the money.

i can't act or get dressed or anything.

You should go, obviously. It might be fun, and if not, I'm sure it will make good anecdote fodder. You could get drunk first, if you think that would help.

Kevin Gilchrist (Mr Fusion), Saturday, 9 October 2004 16:09 (twenty-one years ago)

they said you need to be able to make a good impression quickly.

i'm tempted to do an interpretive Sparks dance.

tempted.

Hari Ashurst (Toaster), Saturday, 9 October 2004 16:12 (twenty-one years ago)

Just before the audition take 3 e's.

Ask to keep the tape.

Jarlr'mai (jarlrmai), Saturday, 9 October 2004 19:05 (twenty-one years ago)

The audition will be full of beautiful people with no morals or self-esteem. You should go.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Saturday, 9 October 2004 22:05 (twenty-one years ago)

It also helps not to be from Chester :)

JTS, Saturday, 9 October 2004 22:08 (twenty-one years ago)

You should go, then I'll have someone else to be rude to when I'm out in Liverpool.

N.B. You shouldn't go.

Matt (Matt), Saturday, 9 October 2004 22:23 (twenty-one years ago)

You should go!

PinXorchiXoR (Pinkpanther), Monday, 11 October 2004 08:17 (twenty-one years ago)

go and also keep the money

WIthout a doubt. Bring some vodka along and let the par-tay begin!

Johnney B (Johnney B), Monday, 11 October 2004 09:30 (twenty-one years ago)

nobody in Hollyoaks is actually that attractive tho

Freelance Hiveminder (blueski), Monday, 11 October 2004 09:31 (twenty-one years ago)

Go and keep the money. Although this might be problematic if you get a part and subsequently end up in the show and thus have no defence to enable you to keep the money.

Sick Mouthy (Nick Southall), Monday, 11 October 2004 09:44 (twenty-one years ago)

I queued for that 'Soap Idol' emmerdale audition, a couple years ago.

That's an anecdote I haven't told. (Too long to do here).

Yeah, go. C'mon, how many times will this happen?

mark grout (mark grout), Monday, 11 October 2004 09:50 (twenty-one years ago)

Is Matt DC projecting his sex fantasies again?

Markelby (Mark C), Monday, 11 October 2004 09:54 (twenty-one years ago)

eew a projectile of matt DC sexual fantasies.

ken c (ken c), Monday, 11 October 2004 09:56 (twenty-one years ago)

Offer them a double or nothing on their money in the event you get a part. If you get a part, you can afford the £40.

suzy (suzy), Monday, 11 October 2004 10:12 (twenty-one years ago)

OMG I know someone who got an audition as well. Did you get the whole secret text message thing? Menko-dom!

I SAY DO IT!

Starry (hello chickens), Monday, 11 October 2004 10:14 (twenty-one years ago)

double or nothing is a suberb idea.

I think i'm gonna get a bit drunk beforehand and maybe hang out with some friends.

I imagine this is going to be full of people wearing clothes from Topshop.

Hari Ashurst (Toaster), Monday, 11 October 2004 10:19 (twenty-one years ago)

Caveat:

The basic trouble is, is that Actors are verrrry protective of their jobs, to the point of demarkation. If you are not a 'qualified' actor, the idea that someone 'off the street' could do their job is one they get quite sniffy about. So, be warned. You may not get a warm welcome if you actually get a part...

mark grout (mark grout), Monday, 11 October 2004 10:32 (twenty-one years ago)

But isn't that how alot of 'actors' on Hollyoaks got their jobs?

PinXorchiXoR (Pinkpanther), Monday, 11 October 2004 10:40 (twenty-one years ago)

so if i get the part i should bake some cookies or something?

Hari Ashurst (Toaster), Monday, 11 October 2004 10:45 (twenty-one years ago)

they have double or nothing bets at inner city casinos too

ken c (ken c), Monday, 11 October 2004 10:48 (twenty-one years ago)

xxxpost

ken c (ken c), Monday, 11 October 2004 10:48 (twenty-one years ago)

I think the doing it on E is a capital idea. Maybe not three though.

Alba (Alba), Monday, 11 October 2004 10:51 (twenty-one years ago)

they have E's in provincial cities too.

ken c (ken c), Monday, 11 October 2004 10:53 (twenty-one years ago)

i hope they don't ask me why i like Hollyoaks.

Hari Ashurst (Toaster), Monday, 11 October 2004 10:53 (twenty-one years ago)

One of the girls from Hollyoaks eats in ours a fair bit. She's nice. Her boyfriend, however, is a menk.

Matt (Matt), Monday, 11 October 2004 21:43 (twenty-one years ago)

I know someone who used to be in Hollyoaks. He's a total tit!

Simon Green (fatmancunian), Tuesday, 12 October 2004 01:41 (twenty-one years ago)

i hope they don't ask me why i like Hollyoaks.

Surely the answer they're looking for is 'because I'd like to screw most of the cast'?

hobart paving (hobart paving), Tuesday, 12 October 2004 06:31 (twenty-one years ago)

Honesty is, after all, the best policy.

Johnney B (Johnney B), Tuesday, 12 October 2004 06:33 (twenty-one years ago)

No, no-one will actually ask that. C'mon, Actors seldom watch television (for pleasure anyway), unless their friends are in it.

mark grout (mark grout), Tuesday, 12 October 2004 09:06 (twenty-one years ago)

nobody in Hollyoaks is actually that attractive tho
????

Ali Bastian!

MarkH (MarkH), Tuesday, 12 October 2004 16:00 (twenty-one years ago)

All you have to do in Hollyoaks is where a short skirt and manage to act a convincing hangover

Derridadaismus (Dada), Tuesday, 12 October 2004 16:03 (twenty-one years ago)

Where a short skirt?

adam. (nordicskilla), Tuesday, 12 October 2004 16:07 (twenty-one years ago)

define menk.

adam. (nordicskilla), Tuesday, 12 October 2004 16:08 (twenty-one years ago)

... where a short skirt, everywhere a short skirt

Derridadaismus (Dada), Tuesday, 12 October 2004 16:08 (twenty-one years ago)
