gareth, Saturday, 17 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

i too am working this lovely, lovely saturday. or, i will be, as i leave in about an hour. the nice thing about saturdays in a college bookstore is that it generally = zzzzz. i'll probably spend the five hours finishing up my xmas displays and pissing about on here.

jess, Saturday, 17 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

i went to a nice 2nd hand bookstore on South Street. i guess you'll know that. i nearly bought a Donald Antrim book, but i bought it at the strand bookstore, nyc instead

gareth, Saturday, 17 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

is it the one next to the gyro place and the video game store? that's a good'un if a little pricey.

jess, Saturday, 17 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

they also have a good selection of musical oddities on vinyl: burl ives sings calypso, etc.

jess, Saturday, 17 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

You people, go home. Or something. Then again, quite why I'm doing anything at 6:20 am is beyond me.

Ned Raggett, Saturday, 17 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I'm just sitting here trying to rid my flat of this week's PR/ newspaper/other humans detritus and ironing the curtains that were not supposed to be tumble-dried. Curses. My rug's gonna feel the lash of the Hoover soon. I've been putting off going to get firewood from the garage. I've also been putting off taking a bunch of data off my old computer and putting it on this one, so the former can be wiped and sold off.

Procrastination activities: cream of spinach soup with garlic toasts, snarfing the remaining Hash Cookies made for me earlier in the week, making mirin and soy sauce dressing, watching bits of Barefoot In The Park. I am not a very good worker today.

suzy, Saturday, 17 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

just as i thought...minus a small trauma, quiet as a church mouse today...

billie holiday playing on the stereo, pissing about online...wait a minnit...this is what i do at home on a sat. morning...why am i getting paid for this?

jess, Saturday, 17 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

It is Saturday and I am only just starting to get over my immense hangover. Bleurgh, I feel ill.

kate, Saturday, 17 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I just got in! Saw 'Kiss of the Dragon'...bought some comics. Bought some CD's for my dad for his birthday, and left the bag in at the counter, luckily the girl noticed and ran after me. D'oh! I also bought a bluegrass compilitation.

james, Saturday, 17 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

It's Saturday and I lost my bastard mobile phone on the N25 last night.

DG, Saturday, 17 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

gareth, Saturday, 17 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

"Saturday", the Clientele.

Simon, Saturday, 17 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Oh, somewhere in Aldgate, it was certainly an interesting evening.

DG, Saturday, 17 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

interesting is one word for it!

kate, Saturday, 17 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Indeed.

DG, Saturday, 17 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

jess, Saturday, 17 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

DG, Saturday, 17 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

jess, Saturday, 17 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Yes.

DG, Saturday, 17 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

David and i got up a few hours ago and we read the paper and ate breakfast andin a couple of hourse weare going somewhere with a mutual friend to buy a christmas tree, a real christmas tree. Then i have a baptisim to go to.

anthony, Saturday, 17 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Anthony, you can't buy a Christmas tree in November!!!

I was at work at 8am on Saturday morning and I stayed in the office until midday. Then I went home, shaved my legs, went to the pub and drank from 3.30 until closing time. Terrible start to the day, but a great way to finish it.

Madchen, Monday, 19 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Saturday, err, slept till noon then went to my nephew's birthday party. Then an art opening and a band.

Samantha, Monday, 19 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I went round to my friend's flat where we spent 2 hrs deciding whether or not we could be arsed going out. And didn't. Excitement central.

Ally C, Monday, 19 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Woke up on EmmaPete's sofa, watched SM TV, bought a paper, had a sandwich, met Isabel, went shopping, bought some computer games and christmas presents, went home, played Crash Bandicoot, watched Walking w/Beasts, more Crash B, made enchiladas, bed. Not a bad day all told. Caught a cold at some point too grr.

Tom, Monday, 19 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

EmmaPete? What is one of them? Anyway they are better than PeteEmmas.

I went to the optician with a hangover, he said something like 'your eyes move properly'. Then Waitrose. Then home. Then hangover- relieving bath. Then had to go to Clapham. Oh dear.

Emma, Monday, 19 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

gareth (gareth), Saturday, 10 May 2003 13:27 (twenty-three years ago)

It is pretty quiet Ed.

Cozen (Cozen), Saturday, 10 May 2003 13:31 (twenty-three years ago)

stevem (blueski), Saturday, 10 May 2003 13:43 (twenty-three years ago)

I would like to see Akufen, but I'm going out for a Thai meal for my mum's birthday. Because I am a good boy. If it has an amusing name, I will be sure to post it.

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Saturday, 10 May 2003 13:47 (twenty-three years ago)

gareth (gareth), Saturday, 10 May 2003 14:26 (twenty-three years ago)

It's saturday and I haven't had a day off since... I can't remember. In total I'll have worked a full month without any day off. I am going slightly gaga.

nathalie (nathalie), Saturday, 10 May 2003 14:49 (twenty-three years ago)

Yes, DJ Afroken stormed NYC a few weeks back.

Mary (Mary), Saturday, 10 May 2003 17:03 (twenty-three years ago)

I'm at work too. We've had over a week straight of tornado-spawning storms here in the midwest and more are on their way, so I'm just sitting around waiting for them to enter the listening area so I can say things like 'bow hook echo.'

teeny (teeny), Saturday, 10 May 2003 17:19 (twenty-three years ago)

Bow Hook Echo is a fucking awesome phrase.

Millar (Millar), Saturday, 10 May 2003 17:40 (twenty-three years ago)

Holy shit I just said it out loud like five times. It is goddamned sweet.

Millar (Millar), Saturday, 10 May 2003 17:40 (twenty-three years ago)

Too bad it doesn't exist. There's bow echos and hook echos but no bow hook echos, I think. This is why I just read what the meteorologist hands me.

teeny (teeny), Saturday, 10 May 2003 17:44 (twenty-three years ago)

http://www.usatoday.com/weather/wearadar.htm

teeny (teeny), Saturday, 10 May 2003 17:45 (twenty-three years ago)

di smith (lucylurex), Saturday, 10 May 2003 21:38 (twenty-three years ago)

Dan I., Saturday, 10 May 2003 22:47 (twenty-three years ago)

Matt (Matt), Saturday, 10 May 2003 23:05 (twenty-three years ago)
