So this thread went nowhere...my friend called yesterday and said she wants to go on a holiday 'now'. We can go to Valencia for €20, but she is worried it is 'crap'. Does anybody know for sure? I'm more optimistic.

Tomato croquettes at Restaurant SecretBurrata and bravas at La CalitaLatte e Farina restaurant Pastries from Martinica PatisserieCocktails and nibbles at Apotheke (probably some good full meals to be found in the neighbourhood too) Aquarium
Parc Natural de l'Albufera is supposed to be good and there are a few day trips you can do to nearby towns with castles and caves. Can't vouch for any as didn't get around to them.
