Australia's greatest all-round cricketer, died this morning at age 84. He also had a distinguished record as a fighter pilot in WW2, and wrote and commentated on cricket for many years after his retirement. One report of his death described him as 'cricket's Errol Flynn'.

This was a man who sometimes took a full fast-bowler run-up and bowled off-spin, or took three paces and bowled a bouncer! A godlike figure. RIP.
