its 7.15 am, i've been here since 6.30 and i'm working again. london is supposed to be a 24 hour city, yet there is no tube at this time of the morning (yeah, like i'm really going to get 2 seperate nightbuses to work).

so i've had to come by taxi. standing outside my house at 5.30 am in the cold, waiting 20 minutes for it to come. all the roads are empty though and it only took 35 minutes to get work. £25 though! expenses...

gareth, you sure are a bog of complaints. Ever try taking a nice hot bath instead?

Mike Hanle y, Saturday, 17 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

we don't have them at work:(

gareth, Saturday, 17 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I lay in until midday reading my book on Sunday. Then I went to the pub and played darts, although I didn't drink much.

Madchen, Monday, 19 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Gareth, that sucks. Do you always have to work all weekend? On sunday I slept until noon again then went and saw Harry Potter (yay!) and then drove an hour + to rescue Hank from his recording session. He did have to work all weekend. poor thing.

Samantha, Monday, 19 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

no, it was a one off. well actually kind of a two off, because i might have to do this weekend too. but i never normally do them

gareth (gareth), Sunday, 16 February 2003 08:54 (twenty-three years ago)

It is Sunday and today I am going to be making soundloops all afternoon, and then going to a Kosmiche offshoot at the Buffalo Bars (and veering desperately between hoping Hilton is or isn't there so violently that I might not go even though I *really* want to coz it's a Krauthop night so it will be FULL of DDB's) so I shall be thinking of you, Gareth, slaving over a hot computer. ;-)

kate, Sunday, 16 February 2003 09:01 (twenty-three years ago)

I work at an Art Centre which off course is always open in the weekend. so I'm working mostly on sundays (when they have a show on). I'm alone in the office, dividing my time between Ile, reading art-magazines, and doing some (only some ) work. o...motivation.

erik, Sunday, 16 February 2003 10:43 (twenty-three years ago)

slaving?!

I have a one hour tutoring job today. I'm not that keen on doing it, and I bet the little kid I'm tutoring is even less keen. Poor thing.
I don't mind doing my normal job on a Sunday though, because the pay is great, and it's a nice lazy day.

celeste (Celeste), Sunday, 16 February 2003 14:32 (twenty-three years ago)

I've found something worse than working on a Sunday.
Going to the placewhere you are supposed to be working to find out that they've forgotten, and no-one is in. Meaning I've wasted a good hour of valuable internet time :)

celeste (Celeste), Sunday, 16 February 2003 15:35 (twenty-three years ago)

i've finished work and am home for the rest of the day. Hurrah!

There's nothing for kids to do round here.

More on the "hardly working" side than the more-favored "working hard".

Working also ... I would've been here sooner but I couldn't tear myself away from that Astros game.

why do old people and old users of ILX such bastardos (deangulberry), Sunday, 3 October 2004 21:14 (twenty-one years ago)

This Sunday was the first Sunday this year that I've worked less than twelve hours in--the patient I was scheduled to work with went home early, so I was reassigned to another one. Two hours to get him ready in the morning, and two hours at night to put him to bed. My husband's up north (OK, about 20-30 miles north) working on a house, so I spent the rest of the day in bed napping, reading comics, and ignoring Headline News.

Christine 'Green Leafy Dragon' Indigo (cindigo), Monday, 4 October 2004 00:40 (twenty-one years ago)

i worked today too, but at least i got to do my work from home. even so, i had to go into the office and drop it off. i'm a little annoyed because the guy i hauled ass for to get the thing done and turned in on time wasn't there when i showed up, and the girl i gave it to didn't really know anything about what i was turning in. all that cab fare down the drain. :-(
