I've been awake for 22 hours.

sometimes i like to pretend i am very small and warm (ex machina), Thursday, 14 October 2004 11:31 (twenty-one years ago)

can we make it also vs FALLING asleep? i love falling asleep, more than anything except not-waking-up, but for some reason i never manage to do it unless i'm collapsing-style tired.

haha jon i love where yr at. staying up all night gives me the cocky unhinged persona i've always wanted.

I haven't washed my pants for 3 weeks

I'm not cocky; just unsure of myself and intoxicated feeling

Also, my room smells like fucking chicken vindaloo

I would taking sleeping at the moment but you can't play football, drink wine or listen to music while sleeping so generally I'd pimp for waking.

Sick Mouthy (Nick Southall), Thursday, 14 October 2004 11:36 (twenty-one years ago)

I just love being asleep so much. I love falling asleep. I hate waking up. There is no worse sound in the world than the sound of an alarm clock. If I could spend the rest of my life asleep, if it were medically possible, I think I might just do it. I want to live in a dream.

Does that mean I'm completely escapist?

Danger Whore (kate), Thursday, 14 October 2004 11:41 (twenty-one years ago)

I set my alarm early so I can hit snooze 3 or 4 times.

I just went out of my room to look at the note left on my door again, just to prove it was real.

It says:

"Hey Baby"

and there's a smiley face winking.

Who put it there?

You must have put it there yourself in your sleep!

Before around 8.00pm - Sleeping.
After 8pm - Being Awake.

Bit of a bugger, really.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Thursday, 14 October 2004 12:01 (twenty-one years ago)

Andrew Farrell OTM about Sick Mouthy being OTM about Tracer Hand being OTM

we've done this before havne't we?

ken c (ken c), Thursday, 14 October 2004 12:15 (twenty-one years ago)

Also: does anyone else sleep on a pillow of their hands? I mean obviously I have an actual pillow, but I end up folding my hands beneath it before sleeping. Obviously this only happens when sleeping on my stomach, but my back is bad enough that I can't sleep on it.

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Thursday, 14 October 2004 12:21 (twenty-one years ago)

oh how i love to sleep.

kephm (kephm), Thursday, 14 October 2004 12:29 (twenty-one years ago)

ok no prizes for guessing what this thread title keeps looking like to me.

Ste (Fuzzy), Thursday, 14 October 2004 12:35 (twenty-one years ago)

Slepping vs walking?

Sick Mouthy (Nick Southall), Thursday, 14 October 2004 12:39 (twenty-one years ago)

You've Got to Pick Up Every Stitch (tracerhand), Thursday, 14 October 2004 12:44 (twenty-one years ago)

i sometimes put a hand under my pillow when i sleep on the side

ken c (ken c), Thursday, 14 October 2004 12:46 (twenty-one years ago)

I like both being asleep and being awake, but I hate the phases in between.

Hurting (Hurting), Thursday, 14 October 2004 13:11 (twenty-one years ago)

phases = best bit. The absolute best bit is of course waking naturally on a saturday at going-to-work time, with a soft light (haha and if possible soft focus) as you turn over and go back to sleep.

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Thursday, 14 October 2004 13:24 (twenty-one years ago)

Argh, I hate waking up at the time when I'm supposed to wake up and go to work because I have such trouble getting back to sleep if I wake up.

I don't mind if it's actual phasing inbetween - that's a very nice half awake, half asleep sort of state. What I really hate is that sort of insomnia state where you're SO BONE TIRED but you're too exhausted to sleep. That is the worst feeling in the world.

Danger Whore (kate), Thursday, 14 October 2004 13:28 (twenty-one years ago)

It is perhaps indicitave of the kind of community we have here that I keep reading this thread title as "sleeping vs. wanking."

Smokin' funk by the boxes (kenan), Thursday, 14 October 2004 13:29 (twenty-one years ago)

today I woke at 12.30 and it felt like 5 in the morning. I missed all my lectures.

Ronan (Ronan), Thursday, 14 October 2004 13:29 (twenty-one years ago)

At the moment, sleeping. The world I dream is better than the world in which I have to live. Never to wake up again...bliss.

Marcello Carlin, Thursday, 14 October 2004 13:30 (twenty-one years ago)

I dozed off studying in the library about 45 minutes ago and woke up with a huge obvious erection. I hope no one near me noticed!

sometimes i like to pretend i am very small and warm (ex machina), Thursday, 14 October 2004 13:31 (twenty-one years ago)

I like waking up from afternoon naps when I've had weird lucid dreams. I generally like sleeping, and would like to spend more time in bed asleep, at least 10 hours a day sleeping would be good.
