I dunno, though! I may actually have my Mojo back, thanks to my Delays t-shirt! I went to a shoegazer club on Saturday night (oh god, bliss, happiness, cathedrals of sound and extended MBV remixes... aaaahhhhh...) and THREE DIFFERENT BLOKES all tried to chat me up! I was flabbergasted.

One of them looked like a young Brett Anderson. I'm convinced he was gay because he was way too pretty to be talking to me. Swoon.

It was the best place ever! It really WAS a shoegazing club called Sonic Cathedrals. Apparently they're going to do it again in February or so. Will post details when it happens, because it was the greatest thing ever.

I think shoegazer boyz were just impressed because I knew the lyrics to the songs. Or, at least, I've been singing nonsense words to them so long that it *looks* like I know the words. I mean, doesn't it matter if you're singing along to Cocteau Twins, if you sing "Hershey bar, hershey bar, I seen you looking from the Oreo..."

records store girl asked me if I knew of any noise music boards, I said I knew of a few, was thinking of like spockmorgue and this and that and mentioned I love music not having any idea why she was asking me, only after I mention ILX she tells me she was on phone with someone from Other who was telling her that people were talking about her on a "noise with a z" msg board so I feigned total ignorance, but not complete because obv someone else was showing her the board and she'd see I post to it. she went off to use the computer and I bought my records (including the Basement 5, 3 black dudes doing a reggae version of suicide produced by Martin Hannet, holy crap) came home and wrote ian. I wasn't like "hey dude, these guys are talking about you, here's the link!" Only after she said people were talking about her did I put 2 and 2 together, when I read the initial thread weeks/months ago I had no idea who it was about, at that point I thought this particular record store girl had left the city, as I hadn't seen her in ages, prob not since she was a different record store girl.
