I remember being in an airport in cananda at the age of five or six. At the time i had an audio tape of an abridged trasure island on the car tape deck, whenever it was my turn to choose. I see this book with the word 'treasure'on the front and remember asking my mum if that was the unabridged treasure island. She said that it wasn't and read the blurb on the back for me. I recall being absolutely fascinated, arguably it started in me a fascination both for history, and in the way things work. I have have had this fascinating story in my head for the last 20 years without ever knowing how to find out more about it, thank you.
Its starteling how acurate my recolections about this from that time are,. The story was clearly interesting enough to not require embellishment from an admittedly fanciful child.
