He OD'd on some pill. He was in Philadelphia, I think. He was gonna come back to Kauai to get his job back, but when the guy at the place he was gonna work called him bakck, he found out he died.

He told me about movies like 'Scarface' and 'Kids (so far, I've seen neither of them, but it was fun to talk about them). I wonder mostly about 'Kids'. I don't usually handle movies like that well. They seem too hardcore.

ugh. this just happened to me too, although it took about a month for the news to get to me. saw him about 6 months ago - died of "aids related complications" after 19 years of living w/HIV, found out through a dude that was in NA with him.

the last time he dropped off the radar/relapsed he left me all of his writing and letters for safe-keeping. now i have to figure out what to do with them, which is going to be depressing no matter what.

five months pass...

I just found out via the web that someone I hung out with regularly in the East Village around '95-'01 died a year and a half ago. He did a mean Cher impression (there was a resemblance) and was a load of laughs. His answering machine always said "I'll go ahead and get back to you!"

I'm not sure how to find out more, or if there's a point to that.

Just found out an ex-workmate of mine died of a heart attack on a train last month. She was about 26/27. We weren't close but she was part of our after-work drinks clique and I liked her. I knew she was a bit of a caner, I guess I didn't realise how much.
