i did the NYC to Chicago route - fantastic between Manhattan and Albany, bit dull after that but it went overnight between Buffalo and Chicago so i'm not sure there was ever a decent view of Lake Erie at any point?

i bought healthful, nonperishable SNACKS for the road!
