luna (luna.c), Friday, 5 November 2004 01:31 (twenty-one years ago)

cinniblount (James Blount), Friday, 5 November 2004 01:33 (twenty-one years ago)

Funny. I was thinking the exact sentiment of the thread title when I saw the ad for this yestersay on vh1 classic.

herbert hebert (herbert hebert), Friday, 5 November 2004 01:37 (twenty-one years ago)

I wonder what Deborah Van Valkenburg is up to these days.

dave225 (Dave225), Friday, 5 November 2004 01:37 (twenty-one years ago)

It was like 1998 before I realized this show hadn't been about the nice blonde girl who made my pants feel funny and the mean people who walked in front of her.

Tep (ktepi), Friday, 5 November 2004 01:39 (twenty-one years ago)

haha Chris I was just gonna chastise myself for leaving the door out! My favorite episode was when the door dropped out of high school to play baseball and Don Drysdale had a cameo.

The first show to ever survive the network axe.

And somehow, in my old age, Muriel has become more attractive to me.

Pleasant Plains (Pleasant Plains), Friday, 5 November 2004 01:42 (twenty-one years ago)

cinniblount (James Blount), Friday, 5 November 2004 01:42 (twenty-one years ago)

Muh-muh-muh-muh MURIEL!

Pleasant Plains (Pleasant Plains), Friday, 5 November 2004 01:46 (twenty-one years ago)

The design of the girls' room always fascinated me.

oops (Oops), Friday, 5 November 2004 01:47 (twenty-one years ago)

With the thick Houston Astros stripe running across the wall?

Pleasant Plains (Pleasant Plains), Friday, 5 November 2004 01:53 (twenty-one years ago)

haha YES. The whole "Rainbow Brite as a young adult" look.

oops (Oops), Friday, 5 November 2004 02:02 (twenty-one years ago)

i liked this show more than i may wish to remember. then again, i was 10.

also, what WAS jm j bullock's purpose on this show? i take it that he was supposed to be daughters' gay friend (the show WAS in san francisco, you know), only it was never stated forthrightly since this was pre-"will and gracie"?

Eisbär (llamasfur), Friday, 5 November 2004 03:06 (twenty-one years ago)

he gave ted knight an excuse to do the slow burn. i think he rented a room in their building too??

cinniblount (James Blount), Friday, 5 November 2004 03:07 (twenty-one years ago)

"Oh yeah, dad. Didn't we tell you? Monroe is gay!"

"A fa, a fa, a fa ... homma, homma, homma ... MURIEL!"
