Hi, RJG.

POEPLE BE VOTIN

Dan Quisenberry (deangulberry), Friday, 5 November 2004 18:13 (twenty-one years ago)

Because of the nanny-statist progressivism and its love affair with social engineering and totalitarian “tolerance” statutes, why else?
And bunnies, of course. I like bunnies.

Hang on, except I didn't vote Kerry. I must have simply misunderstood how very good the above is for me. Red staters are just a little slow on the uptake, is all. Because of the whole God thing.

silent majority, Friday, 5 November 2004 20:29 (twenty-one years ago)

George W. Bush's current administration has spent more money on social programs than any Democratic administration in the history of the United States. FACT.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Friday, 5 November 2004 20:32 (twenty-one years ago)

TS: "tax-and-spend" liberals spending tax dollars on health care & labor law reform vs. spend-and-spend "conservatives" spending tax dollars on morality-based legislation (such as the obviously ill-fated GET THE SINGLE MOTHERS HITCHED plan from 03)

nickalicious (nickalicious), Friday, 5 November 2004 20:33 (twenty-one years ago)

Well yeah, but they are GOOD programs. (The problems with trying to maintain this are going to be interesting indeed if/when the dollar slide currently in place continues sharply.)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 5 November 2004 20:36 (twenty-one years ago)

Back to Reasons Why Pee-Pull Voted for Kerry...

- prefer their tax dollars going to improving their childrens' education systems, bringing down their health care costs, and maintaining controls over large power industry motherfuckers, rather than to BILLION DOLLAR NO-BID CONTRACTS TO HALLIBARTON AND OTHER CORPORATIONS WHOSE MAJORITY EMPLOYMENT HAS GONE OVERSEAS

nickalicious (nickalicious), Friday, 5 November 2004 20:38 (twenty-one years ago)

George W. Bush's current administration has spent more money on social programs than any Democratic administration in the history of the United States. FACT.
If this FACT is true, then they are hypocrites for attacking Democrats for spending money on social programs.. like schools & shit.

dave225 (Dave225), Friday, 5 November 2004 20:40 (twenty-one years ago)

- prefer their tax dollars going towards MILITARY ACTIONS WHICH WILL ACTUALLY MAKE AMERICA SAFER rather than going towards MILITARY ACTIONS WHICH MAKE AMERICA NOT SAFER IN THE SLIGHTEST BIT, AND IN FACT PROBABLY ONLY MAKE THINGS WORSE

x-post the problem is, most "conservatives" these days aren't paying attention to what the administration is actually DOING, but only what they are SAYING

nickalicious (nickalicious), Friday, 5 November 2004 20:42 (twenty-one years ago)

I think the greatest lie Bushco Inc. has gotten away with has been convincing the traditional conservative that they share a similar platform. Beyond the Christian morality-based legislation, there is absolutely NOTHING 'conservative' about the current Republican reign.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Friday, 5 November 2004 20:43 (twenty-one years ago)

It's a massive expansion at the least and there have been plenty of complaints about it among those who profess to care. As yet it has not translated into actually doing anything about it (most of the frustration seems to be of a 'Dammit why don't our fellow SO-CALLED FISCAL CONSERVATIVES in Congress do something about this before it gets too late OMG WTF' bent -- there were a large number of calls to either vote Kerry in to act as a counterbalance to a GOP congress or to get a Democratic majority back in Congress to counterbalance Bush, but as noted the question of values etc. seems to have trumped all...for now).

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 5 November 2004 20:43 (twenty-one years ago)

it doesn't make us safer, but it'll keep our gas prices down for another year or two!
