Is that weird?
(Don't get angry.)

Nowell (Nowell), Monday, 8 November 2004 23:07 (twenty years ago)

FUCK!

adam... (nordicskilla), Monday, 8 November 2004 23:10 (twenty years ago)

Not weird at all: I can't remember the last time I felt good for a whole day.

'Cause his messy sandwich attacked him today.

Michael White (Hereward), Monday, 8 November 2004 23:13 (twenty years ago)

Me neither, Martin. At the moment, I'm doing well if I can stay up, moodwise, for more that three or four hours at a time.

caitlin (caitlin), Monday, 8 November 2004 23:13 (twenty years ago)

I feel neutral today.

Nowell (Nowell), Monday, 8 November 2004 23:14 (twenty years ago)

I'm the same way. It's especially normal for a teenager, Nowell. As well as being in a depressed cycle, I have the unusual madical complaint of having lost a tear duct! I woke up this morning and it was gone, and now my eye is swelling. I looked all over my bed - I think he's hiding in my sinus (that hurts too).

Kevin Gilchrist (Mr Fusion), Monday, 8 November 2004 23:14 (twenty years ago)

I suspect Adam was making a joke in response to your "Don't get angry" line.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Monday, 8 November 2004 23:17 (twenty years ago)

I wrote the "Don't get angry" line cuz I suspected someone was going to get mad at me for making this thread. Why would I think that? Well, you know how ILX is...I think.

Nowell (Nowell), Monday, 8 November 2004 23:19 (twenty years ago)

How can you *lose* a tear duct? Is it blocked up or something?

caitlin (caitlin), Monday, 8 November 2004 23:24 (twenty years ago)

I don't know, it's just not there - I was going to start a thread about the mystery, but wasn't sure how interested anyone would be. Andyway, my eye felt funny this morning, and when I touch the corner of my eye there is no bump, like the other eye (and this eye prior to today). In the mirror it's just redness. I'm baffled, and my eye is getting puffy. I'm probably going to have to see a nurse tomorrow, in case I end up with an eyepatch like Momus.

Kevin Gilchrist (Mr Fusion), Monday, 8 November 2004 23:28 (twenty years ago)

do you go to 'kill your timid notion', kevin?

cºzen (Cozen), Monday, 8 November 2004 23:31 (twenty years ago)

Maybe a spider took it out of yr eye last night!

I've stopped concentrating on feeling "good" and am concentrating on relaxing. I think that has to come first.

Curt1s St3ph3ns, Monday, 8 November 2004 23:33 (twenty years ago)

I don't know what that means, sorr Cozen.

Kevin Gilchrist (Mr Fusion), Monday, 8 November 2004 23:34 (twenty years ago)

(what would a spider want with my tear duct?) x-post

Kevin Gilchrist (Mr Fusion), Monday, 8 November 2004 23:35 (twenty years ago)

I thought you were in dundee.

cºzen (Cozen), Monday, 8 November 2004 23:36 (twenty years ago)

Oh, right - I live in St. Andrews, so like half an hour. Yeah, I'm going to go and see Text of Light at any rate.

Kevin Gilchrist (Mr Fusion), Monday, 8 November 2004 23:56 (twenty years ago)

I think happiness is not about being 100% full of mirth and glee all the time. Happiness is about maintaining a reasonable level of contentment even if you're perhaps only 70 or 80% happy. Dropping below 50% I guess is depression if you adhere to my crazy little theory.

mancomb seepgood (papa november), Tuesday, 9 November 2004 00:14 (twenty years ago)

I looked all over my bed

i read this as beard

bulbs (bulbs), Tuesday, 9 November 2004 00:18 (twenty years ago)

Well, I looked there too.

Kevin Gilchrist (Mr Fusion), Tuesday, 9 November 2004 00:19 (twenty years ago)

yea nowll, thats life. You feel good when you a. do stuff (creative etc.) or have fun (out and about) otherwise you mostly feel nothing or a little sad. Its called being a grown up.

lukey (Lukey G), Tuesday, 9 November 2004 09:19 (twenty years ago)

That's one interpretation - for me, I kind of meant that I can't remember the last day when I didn't feel downright bad for at least a chunk of it.
